There is a popular handicapping website that has the umpire trends listed for team match ups.

I can see the importance of team trends, pitcher trends, and head to head trends.

How significant are umpire trends?

Do you use them?

Thanks for your help,

Undefeated

it's actually valuable information

some umpires are more liberal with strike zones (more walks)

allstar break is a great time to start using the info

i have to go to the store and buy some cap'n crunch and mountain dew

If the capper who is coming up with these plays below truly does put weight on the umpire trends then this is a statistic to be really looked at along with the other stats.

Umpire UNDER streakers 72-24-8 (75%)

umpire = Cooper 13-3-1 L17 ( bet under on MLB game between BOS/DET)

umpire = West 10-2-2 L14 (bet under on MLB game between HOU/MIN)

umpire = Danley 14-3-1 L18 (bet under on MLB game between KC/SEA)

Blade, do some books have advanced betting options where you can bet purely on the umpire and what he is going to do? I know my book does not.

Also, if you are going to bet the under on the total of those Tuesday TEAM MATCH UPS posted above then using other team trends that I have identified, the Cleveland / Baltimore game has the best under trends all around to add to the umpire trends. This is the only one I have bet on out of the three posted above for Tuesday.

My best to all, Undefeated77

No, would be real headache to grade for a book and not worth the work since very few people would use it.

When betting solely based on trends I like to look at all the trends/info I can find and use everything I gather to see if it is worth a bet or not, somethings I bet purely on a trend or some I might use trends to influence a bet.

Hope all this dribble makes sense, late at night here and had a few beers after a brutal day at work.

You can also apply the Dunkel filter to
these totals to see how they check out.

Last night I looked for the UMPIRE UNDER STREAKER play(s) and I could not find it or them, so I did my own searching for an under play in MLB and found the Oak/Tex game and posted it above. Since then I find that both CHASE ADAMS and the BASEBALL CRUSHER cappers recommend the under in the Oak/Tex game, besides the UMPIRE UNDER STREAKER also recommending it. The only fly in the ointment is Dunkel which has over to a total of 8. Oh well, Dunkel is not always right.
