Exterminator NBA system bet(s):

(January 18) Pistons {A} bet - This is an unofficial series because they're one of the worst 10% of road teams in the NBA. Buy 3 points on the spread at no worse than -170 odds if they are underdogs. Take the money line if they're favorites. If the {A} bet does not win, please use the same rules and double up on the {B} bet by taking them again on 1/19. The potential {C} bet is on 1/21.
(January 19) Pacers {A} bet - This is an official series. Buy 3 points on the spread at no worse than -170 odds if they are underdogs. Take the money line if they're favorites. If the {A} bet does not win, please use the same rules and double up on the {B} bet by taking them again on 1/20. The potential {C} bet is on 1/22.
(January 20) Pelicans {C} bet - This is the final {C} bet of an official series.

For the original system: Any game listed as {A} would be game 1 of a 3-game chase series. If the {A} bet fails, then please automatically go to the {B} bet by repeating the same wager on the same team on their next immediate game. Similarly, go to the final {C} bet if the {B} bet fails. It's very rare for a series to go to the {C} bet, and even rarer for the {C} bet to fail.

FLORIDA @ CALGARY | 01/18 | 9:00 PM EST
FLORIDA -125
ANALYSIS: My model says the Panthers win in almost 60 percent of the simulations, so you're getting strong value with them at this number. Florida is tied with Tampa Bay atop the Atlantic Division (57 points) thanks to a stretch during which it has won eight of nine games and earned a point in the other. One of the victories in that span was a 6-2 triumph over Calgary in which Patric Hornqvist scored a pair of goals. The 35-year-old Swede has notched three goals and two assists in his last four games while leading scorer Jonathan Huberdeau, who is tied for third in the NHL in points (53), has recorded five tallies and 15 assists during his current eight-game streak. Calgary has been outscored 20-7 during its four-game slide.

WISCONSIN @ NORTHWESTERN | 01/18 | 9:00 PM EST
WISCONSIN -2
ANALYSIS: This line doesn’t make a lot of sense. The Badgers are the 8th ranked team in the country as they are 14-2 SU including 6-1 SU away from home. They are also 11-5 ATS including 6-1 ATS away from home. The Wildcats on the other hand are slumping. They have lost four out of their last five games and have failed to cover five of their last six games. The Badgers should be favored by at least five points. Take the road team in this Big Ten battle.

KENT ST. @ E. MICHIGAN | 01/18 | 7:00 PM EST
E. MICHIGAN +3.5
ANALYSIS: The Eagles have been great at home. They are 6-1 SU and ATS in their home court due to their offense which is scoring 82.4 PPG in those seven games. On the other side, the Golden Flashes have been terrible on the road. They are 0-4 ATS in their four true road games while averaging just 64.1 PPG. The Eagles should be the favorite in this game. Take the points with the home dog.

BAYLOR @ WEST VIRGINIA | 01/18 | 5:00 PM EST
UNDER 138.5
ANALYSIS: This should be an absolute eyesore to watch offensively as Baylor allows just 59.9 ppg and West Virginia 62.8, but the Mountaineers are way better defensively in their own gym -- where they are unbeaten. Baylor's offense has gone missing in a two-game losing streak and both those were at home. Barring OT, I struggle to see either team getting to 70 points (only one school has at WVU), which would basically need to happen for this to land Over.

MARYLAND @ MICHIGAN | 01/18 | 7:00 PM EST
MICHIGAN -6.5
ANALYSIS: I love this spot for Michigan. The Wolverines are just 7-7 on the season, 1-3 in the conference, and have lost three straight - all on the road. Now they return home for a must-win game against Maryland, which is 1-5 in the Big Ten. Michigan's best player, Hunter Dickinson will be a game-time decision as he recovers from COVID-19. But even without Dickinson, I think the Wolverines cover this one. Playing against Illinois without Dickinson in its last game, Michigan kept it to a one-point game with 7:30 remaining before the Fighting Illini pulled away. Take Michigan and the points in what needs to be a statement game for Juwan Howard's squad.

RICHMOND @ FORDHAM | 01/18 | 8:00 PM EST
FORDHAM +8
ANALYSIS: My model is making this a five point game in its projections. Fordham has actually played Richmond pretty tight on its own court the last few meetings and I am not sure if New Rochelle is an easy place to travel to, or at least the Spiders seem to have issues. This might be because the Fordham gym is not much better than a local high school's. The Rams are also 6-2 ATS at home and have been building momentum with a 4-1 ATS run. Meanwhile, the Spiders are on a 1-4 ATS slide. This A10 matchup should stay closer than eight points, take the value.

CAROLINA @ BOSTON | 01/18 | 7:00 PM EST
BOSTON -135
ANALYSIS: Canes are completely healthy, but the Bruins should only be missing Nick Foligno and Matt Grzelcyk. Canes have won 7 of 9 and Bruins have won 5 in a row and 8 of 9. However, the Bruins were missing a couple key players during their wins and the Canes played 7 of those 9 games at home. Tuuka Rask should still be a little rusty coming off offseason surgery but Frederik Anderson hasn’t been as sharp lately. And if Anti Raanta starts it will be his first start in a while coming back from injury so there should be rust as well. Canes won the first game between these teams this season but including the playoffs, the Bruins have still won 14 of the last 17 matchups between these teams. Both teams are rested but the Bruins are playing better right now so I will take the Bruins at home.

VANCOUVER @ NASHVILLE | 01/18 | 8:00 PM EST
NASHVILLE -135
ANALYSIS: Predators have now lost 3 in a row but I think this line is an overreaction because they were road underdogs in each of their last 2 games. They are finally healthy with Filip Forsberg back and they are now only missing Mattias Ekholm. Canucks will be without Conor Garland and a couple other players again, and they have lost 4 of their last 6 games themselves. They are 9-11-2 on the road this season and every game they’ve played since the break has been on the road. This will also be their fifth game in 8 days so they shouldn’t have much of an energy advantage despite the Predators playing last night in St. Louis. David Rittich is 3-1-1 this season with a 3.04 GAA and that’s only because of one bad game against the Avs. Juuse Saros had allowed at least 4 goals in each of his last 4 starts so I think this is actually a better spot for the backup in Rittich despite the line moving from -175 to -135 with the goalie announcement. Take the Preds at home.

CAROLINA @ BOSTON | 01/18 | 7:00 PM EST
OVER 5.5
ANALYSIS: Both these teams are playing well with the Canes having won 7 of their last 9 while the Bruins have won 5 in a row and 8 of 9. I like betting overs with two good teams because both teams are incentivized and with an empty net, teams usually go all out one way or the other. Canes have scored 3 goals in 9 of their last 10 games, the lone exception being the dud against the Blue Jackets where they still allowed 6 goals. Bruins have scored at least 3 goals in all 5 of their wins scoring 24 goals total. Tuuka Rask is still making just his second start back from offseason surgery so he should be rusty against a high output team like the Canes. Take the over.

AIR FORCE @ BOISE ST. | 01/18 | 9:00 PM EST
AIR FORCE +18.5
ANALYSIS: Boise's coming into the game on a nine-game win streak and it's affected the line a little too much. Both teams move at a slow pace, and Boise State is a poor-shooting team. It's difficult to trust bad shooting teams to cover spreads this large, especially those who only make 60.3% of their free throws.

KENT ST. @ E. MICHIGAN | 01/18 | 7:00 PM EST
UNDER 141.5
ANALYSIS: These are two inefficient offenses that don't shoot well. The best unit on the floor is easily the Kent State defense, which does an excellent job of slowing its opponents down, and should be able to do the same with Eastern Michigan, even on the road. Also, while Kent State is inefficient offensively, it has a major rebounding edge, which should get it extra possessions, and in turn, burn more clock.

OHIO @ MIAMI (OHIO) | 01/18 | 7:00 PM EST
MIAMI (OHIO) +1
ANALYSIS: While Miami's overall defensive performance hasn't been great this year, it's improved significantly inside conference play, so I don't think the RedHawks are getting nearly enough credit with this line.

CANISIUS @ ST. PETER'S | 01/18 | 2:00 PM EST
CANISIUS +7.5
ANALYSIS: Honestly, you can make a decent living blindly betting dogs in MAAC conference games, but for this matchup the thought process is slightly more complicated than that. Neither one of these teams is good, but while St. Peters is far better defensively, that advantage is wasted by it being one of the worst offensive teams in the nation. Not only can the Peacocks not shoot, but they turn the ball over on nearly a quarter of their possessions. It's hard to cover that way.

Sorry folks, needed one more score and Arizona was no help. Today we get back on track with Baylor. Baylor has lost two straight and this is the perfect spot to get a win and an easy cover. I expect the Bears offense to get it going and win this one by at least 10. Good luck.
