This spread is way too high. Creighton is live to win this game outright. Take the points with the Bluejays in the Big East battle.

Kenpom ranks them as the 23rd best offense in the country. They rank 10th in field goal and 3rd in three point percentage. The Hawks are just 7-5 SU with three of those losses coming against bad teams. They got destroyed in their two games against good teams, USC and Villanova. This spread is way too low. The Wildcats offense is way too good for a team like the Hawks to compete with. Lay the points with the Wildcats.

ANALYSIS: If I could here at SL, I would take the Leafs in regulation and that's what I recommend, but so I have one play tonight -- I don't like the Penguins at home vs. St. Louis in the other game with Casey DeSmith in net -- we'll take the Leafs at -115 on the puckline as Edmonton is without Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and just lost top defenseman Tyson Barrie to COVID protocols. Oilers netminder Mike Smith hasn't been good in two starts since returning from injury. I simply can't justify Toronto at -270 on the ML.

I believe ISU should be favored by a few more points here because Texas Tech apparently will be without leading scorer Terrence Shannon (14.3 ppg) due to injury for a fourth straight game.

ANALYSIS: We'll grab this AAC game early as I believe the Pirates should be at least -3 at home. ECU's three losses were at neutral sites to good teams Oklahoma, Davidson and Liberty and has won its first eight games in Greenville for the first time since the 2000-01 season. The Pirates rank second in the AAC in assists per game (15.4) and third in assist-turnover ratio (1.2) as well as three-point field goals made per game (8.0) and three-point field goal percentage (.365). Tulane, meanwhile, has a few bad losses. The schools split last season, each winning at home.

Analysis:
Pinnacle——Iowa St After winning just two games last season, it was not a surprise to see an undefeated Iowa State team as a double-digit underdog to defending national champion Baylor at home. The Cyclones, despite a poor shooting night, never gave in and battled to a 5 point loss. It might be fair to think of Iowa State as more than just a nice story that would slip to the back pages by season's end. They are relentless defensively, have watched Brockington turn into a star player in a Cyclones' uniform, and despite their relatively small size, get after it on the boards. Texas Tech has played a good non-conference schedule, is an excellent rebounding team on both ends, and nearly as effective as Iowa State on the defensive end. The x-factor in this game is Texas Tech playing without Shannon. Shannon is to Texas Tech what Brockington is to Iowa State. His loss will put more pressure on Kevin McCullar because of the Red Raiders' limited scoring options. I also expect a bounce-back game from Kalscheur for Iowa State after being shut out against Baylor. Iowa State is already 0-1 in the conference and can't afford another home conference loss this early in the game. The Cyclones will be up for this game and so will their fans. I expect the Cyclones to hang in a close game and pull it out late. Iowa State 63 Texas Tech 53
