While LSU sits at the top of the SEC with a perfect 6-0 record in conference play, they have yet to play any of the top teams. The majority of their wins came in close games against the weaker teams in the SEC. Wins over Arkansas, Mississippi State and Mississippi came by a combined seven points. History doesn't bode well for the Tigers as a favorite, as they have failed to cover in five straight when asked to cover points. Texas has covered in four of their last five as a home underdog. These teams last met 14 years ago, and Texas won by a single point. I expect this to be another close game, but I'll take the home team.

The Kansas Jayhawks are coming off a huge win over their big rivals in the Kansas State Wildcats. A fight broke out that led to the suspensions of role players David McCormack (2 games) and Silvio De Sousa (12 games).

I think the Jayhawks will come out flat off that huge emotional win, and their lack of depth now in the immediate future is a concern. I also believe you’re paying a tax to back Kansas right now because they are the No. 3 ranked team in the country and have covered three straight coming in.

Tennessee is playing too well right now to be catching 13.5 points. The Vols have won four of their last five with three wins coming by double-digits. That includes road wins over Missouri by 10 as 4.5-point dogs and Vanderbilt by 21 as 5.5-point favorites. They also beat Ole Miss by 25 at home.

Kansas is 3-11 ATS in their last 14 home games after winning four of their last five games. The Jayhawks are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games off a win by 15 points or more. The Vols are 19-8-1 ATS in their last 28 games off a win by more than 20 points. Bet Tennessee Saturday.

FAU 12-8 (9-9 ATS) rolls into town to take on Old Dominion 7-13 (9-10-1 ATS) on Saturday. The Monarchs are favored by 3 points in the latest odds, the over-under is set at 128.

Last game out OD fell to FIU, 83-80, to drop to 3-4 in Conference USA. FAU lost their last game out as well going down to Charlotte 70-68. Charlotte rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit as FAU led 58-44 with 7 minutes remaining.

The key to this game will be the scoring opportunities for Reece and Ezikpe. Wade is a GTD, and the Monarchs have been led by Wade and Green, who are scoring 10PPG & 12PPG respectively. But if Wade sits the pressure is going to be on the two mentioned above, and I think they're ready to step up. Plus let's not forget what Green can do on the glass and distributing the ball.

I really think OD has the talent to pull this one off, and with their strong rebound game they should control the boards on Saturday too. (They're ranked 2nd in CUSA in OFF-rebounding) Aaron Carver is a beast on the glass.

Some trends to consider. FAU are 2-7 SU in their last 9 games against OD, and 2-6 on the road this year. Old Dominion are 6-3 ATS in their last 9 games, and are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games at home. OD has won 2 of the last 3 matchups between these two.

Lay the points with OD -3.
