The Ducks have scored at least 24 points in seven straight contests and have won 13 of their last 15 dating back to last season. Each of Oregon's losses in that span has been by fewer than seven points. Take the Ducks and the points.

Locking this in now because it's bound to climb before kickoff. This total has plummeted from an-already modest opener of 50 but I don't see a sharp Under play planning out. The low number is because Oregon and Utah have two of the best scoring defensive units in the country. They both also score nearly 36 points per game. Utah gave up 30 to USC and 28 to Washington two of the better opponents it faced. There are just too many explosive athletes on both sides to envision the Pac-12 title game turning into a punt fest.

The Utes are like a West Coast SEC team. They can run the ball, stop the run, get after the quarterback, and have the most efficient QB in college football in Tyler Huntley. Oregon's strengths are along both sides of the line of scrimmage, so it will be a battle. But, the X-Factor is Ducks QB Justin Herbert's inability to thrive in big games on the schedule. This, is a big game.

Don't be fooled by all the hype surrounding these two offenses. This game will be decided by the defenses. Both these teams have good offenses, capable of putting up points but both have defenses that are more than capable of shutting down the offenses. Utah comes into this game with the nation’s 3rd-best defense in both scoring (11.3 ppg) and yards allowed (241.6 ypg). Oregon comes into this game with an offense averaging nearly 38 PPG and more than 460 yards per game. Since suffering a defeat to USC on September 20, Utah has been one of the most dominant programs in the FBS. During their eight-game winning streak, the Utes outscored opponents 308-76 and held five foes to single digits. With the pass rush that is generated by Utah, I don't see Justin Herbert having time to settle into a rhythm. Herbert has 31 touchdown passes on the year but four of his five interceptions and nine of his 21 sacks suffered have come in the last month. This is not a great matchup for Oregon. Oregon's offense has been great at times this year but they are also one of the most inconsistent groups in the Pac 12. They'll have their hands full against this front 7 of Utah and given the weather anticipated for this game, I don't see this matchup being a shootout. Weather will play a big role in this game. Not just because it appears it will rain but because of the location. It's being played at Levi's Stadium and the turf at this stadium is horrific. The forecast calls for rain every single day leading up to this game on Friday night. The value lies in the total. I'll be betting the UNDER in this game as I expect the final to be in the range of 31-13 in favor of Utah.
