Another easy comp-play winner Wednesday, this one on San Diego State, which throttled visiting Grand Canyon and easily covered the number. For Thursday’s freebie, we’ll return to the NBA and lay the points with the surprising Suns, who welcome the Hawks to Phoenix.

The Suns are looking to bounce back from Tuesday’s 123-115 home loss to the Lakers in a game that went back and forth most of the way. Despite that defeat (and non-cover as a 3½-point underdog), Phoenix comes into tonight 6-4 SU and 8-2 ATS. That includes quality wins over the Clippers, 76ers and Nets, as well as a one-point overtime loss at Denver.

Aside from their 96-95 loss to Utah, the Suns have been a force offensively, tallying at least 107 points in every other game, including at least 114 points seven times and more than 120 four times.

Tonight, Phoenix faces a Hawks squad that’s fresh off its biggest upset of the season, Tuesday’s 125-121 victory at Denver as a 10½-point underdog. But this is a terrible spot for Atlanta, which is playing the middle game of a five-game road trip, with a back-to-back against both LA teams on deck Saturday and Sunday. Besides, even with Tuesday’s upset of the Nuggets, the Hawks are still just 2-6 in their last eight games, and they were non-competitive in the last five of those losses (124-113 at Portland; 121-109 vs. Sacramento; 113-93 vs. Chicago; 106-97 vs. Miami; 112-97 at Miami).

What’s the common thread in those five defeats? Atlanta played no defense, surrendering an average of 115.2 points per game. Now they’re running up against the fifth-best scoring team in the NBA (116.6 ppg), and in a bad sandwich spot, no less. Look for Phoenix to run away with this one down the stretch and post a comfortable 12- to 15-point victory.

Money Line: -135 Georgetown University

Both teams come in 2-0 but we have seen this Penn State team over the last couple years get better but they always seem to have trouble on the road and getting the better team Georgetown at basically a PK is something to good to pass up. Both teams have wins over nobody. Hoyas have a nice run of home games before they hit the road in December look for them to get this win under their belts on Thursday night.

Fp: Kicks picking up where they left off last year at 2-9 sitting dead last in the nba . Ownership is bad fans bad stadiums old players bad contracts bad and the coach is on the way out . Only thing good about New York is rj Barrett and that won’t be enough look for Dallas to win and cover for my nba free pick.

Week Eleven of the NFL season will open with a game that definitely has some postseason implications as the Steelers travel on this short week to Cleveland to face the Browns. These teams will face one another again on December 1st in the Steel City, but first things first and that is looking at the Under in this first meeting of the season between these AFC North rivals.

I am aware that last year's pair of meetings both landed Over the total, and 4 of the last 5 overall between the teams have also played Over the total, but I have a feeling that this one is holding Under the total.

This is a different type of Mike Tomlin-coached Pittsburgh team, as Tomlin has seen to it that his defense is the lead unit on the team as he tries to get Mason Rudolph comfortable under center. The Steelers just kept the prolific L.A. Rams to 12 points as the Rams lone score came from their defense in a 17-12 Under at Heinz Field.

The Steelers are now Under the total in 3 of their last 4 games, and for the year stand at 5-3-1 Under the total.

Cleveland snapped a 4 game losing streak with a 19-16 home win over Buffalo on Sunday, as the Browns offense has not topped 19 points in any of their 3 games since their bye-week, and have been held to 19 or less in 6 of their 9 for the season.

The Browns have held Under in 3 of their last 5 and in 5 of their last 8 overall this season.

With Pittsburgh's defense having come up with 22 takeaways for the year, and with Baker Mayfield having thrown 12 interceptions on the year - but none over his last 2 games! - you get the feeling that some scoring chances may be left on the field in this game.

Steelers-Browns to land Under on Thursday night.

4* PITTSBURGH-CLEVELAND UNDER

Keeping in mind the Kent State Golden Flashes need to win their final 3 games to have a chance at bowl-eligibility (last bowl game back in 2012) and keeping in mind that the Flashes have covered in 3 of their last 4 games, I did indeed entertain the idea of the "live home dog" for this Friday meeting at Dix Stadium, but as I looked a little closer at things I came to the conclusion that Kent State has a difficult time stopping the run, and Buffalo can run the football with Jaret Patterson and Kevin Marks plugging away, so it is hard to make a compelling enough case to take the points with the home underdog.

I would imagine if I know this fact, Lance Leipold also knows this fact, and he will hammer away at this Kent State weakness until the Golden Flashes prove they can stop the run.

Quarterback Kyle Ventrease has come on strong the longer the season has gone on, as the Bulls are riding a 3 game win streak and a 4 game cover streak as they look to improve on their 6-3 mark. Last season Buffalo mopped up the field with Kent, 48-14 as the Bulls made it 2 in a row and 4 of the last 5 in this series in the win and cover column.

A closer look at Buffalo's current 3 game winning streak shows wins by 21, 23 and 29 points. The defense has allowed just 34 points to be scored against them in that span, so while the Golden Flashes last 3 losses have come by no more than 7 points, I do not think it wise to grab the points the oddsmakers are offering in this spot.

The Bulls are closing strong, and I like them minus the points to extend their winning ways.

Take Buffalo as the road favorite for Friday night.

NCAA-F | Buffalo vs Kent State
Play on: Kent State +6 -105 at Bovada

10* NCAAF FREE PICK (Kent State +6)

I'll take my chances with with Kent State catching almost a touchdown at home, as I would have this thing closer to a pick'em. I just think we are seeing Buffalo way overvalued due to them coming in having absolutely destroyed the last 3 teams they have played.

Another thing playing into the line is the simple fact that the public just doesn't want anything to do with this Kent State team. To the public this is just another awful Golden Flashes team. That's just not the case. Kent State's three conference losses have all been by 7-points or less, two of those on the road against two of the better teams in Ohio and Toledo. They also had to play 3 non-conference games on the road against the likes of Arizona State, Auburn and Wisconsin.

It's no fluke that the Golden Flashes are playing as well as they have in years, as they brought back 15 starters and are in year two under head coach Sean Lewis. While Kent State brought back a ton of experience, keep in mind the Bulls only returned 8 starters.

Favorites of 3.5 to 10 points who are coming off 3 straight conference are just 18-46 (28%) ATS since 1992 if they had 9 or fewer starters back at the beginning of the year. On the flip side of this, Underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points that are coming off a road where they lost outright as a dog are 25-5 (83%) ATS since 2992 if they had 6+ more starters back than their opponent. Take Kent State +6!

NCAA-B | Siena vs Harvard
Play on: Siena +11½ -110 at sportsbook

Harvard is a banged up bunch as usual with the potential that Seth Towns, Bryce Aiken and Christian Juzang all may not play. Juzang has played in two games this season, but Towns and Aiken have not seen the court yet. Harvard's wins came over lowly MIT and Maine with the loss coming at Northeastern 84-79. The Crimson's defense is smothering as they are forcing teams to take over 20 seconds to find a shot.

In comes Siena who beat St. Bonaventure two days ago. This team has wins over American 96-80 and the Bonnies 78-65. The loss came at Xavier 81-63. This is a more up-tempo squad with Jalen Pickett leading the way and several other bit players getting bigger roles. Last year Siena won 67-64 at home as a six point dog in this game. The Crimson have covered just 16 of their last 35 as a favorite. I think this spread is just a bit too big.

NBA | Bulls vs Bucks
Play on: Bucks -11½ -109 at GTBets

Thursday NBA Free play. My selection is on Milwaukee minus the points over Chicago at 8:05 pm et on Thursday.

The Bulls are coming off their fourth win of the season, ultimately pulling away from the Bulls in a blowout win two nights ago. They'll face a much tougher challenge on Thursday, however, as they travel to Milwaukee to face a well-rested and supremely-talented Bucks squad. Milwaukee checks in ranking tops in the league in pace rating and fourth in defensive rating over its last five games. It also sits just outside the top 10 in offensive rating over that same stretch. Chicago has held its own in two of those categories, sitting top 10 in defensive rating and third in pace rating over its last five contests. The problem is, the Bulls rank just 25th in offensive rating over that same period. I simply feel the Bulls are going to have a tough time breaking through against a terrific Bucks defense, while Milwaukee will likely be able to build a sizable lead that will take Chicago out of its defensive game that has been so successful lately. Take Milwaukee (8*).

NCAA-B | Michigan State vs Seton Hall
Play on: Michigan State -6 -109 at GTBets

1* NCAAB - Free Pick on Michigan State Spartans -6 -109

Love the value here with No. 3 Michigan State in Thursday's Top 25 showdown at No. 12 Seton Hall, as I got Sparty winning this one by double-digits. Having already dropped a big game against then No. 2 Kentucky in the opener, Tom Izzo's squad is going do everything in their power to avoid another loss to a ranked opponent.

Pirates will be without star guard Myles Powell, who is strong candidate for All-American honors and one of the favorites for Big East Player of the Year. I just don't see Seton Hall being able to keep this close without their star player.

Also, this Michigan State team is playing inspired basketball following the unfortunate death of Cassius Winston's younger brother Zachary Wilson. Winston played just hours after the bad news on Sunday and had 17 points and 11 assists in just 26 minutes.

The Spartans won that game 100-47 at home against Binghamton. Michigan State is 10-1 ATS last 11 off a win by 20+ points, 9-1 ATS last 10 after scoring 85 or more and 6-0 ATS last 6 on the road after allowing 55 or less. Take Michigan State!

NHL | Stars vs Canucks
Play on: Canucks -135 at 5dimes

1* Free Play on Canucks -135

The Canucks (10-6-3, 23 points) are doing everything they can to keep up with the Oilers in the Pacific. Tonight, they’ll continue in that endeavor by hosting the Stars (9-8-2, 20 points) in Vancouver.

The Stars are currently ahead of only Minnesota and Chicago in the Central, but a single win could leapfrog them over Winnipeg and Nashville. Only a 3-2 overtime loss has kept Dallas from now riding a six-game winning streak. Instead, the Stars are now aiming to build a new winning streak after taking down Calgary 3-1.

On average, the Stars are scoring 2.42 goals per game (29th) and allowing 2.37 goals per game (2nd).

Goaltending has been the strength of this Dallas team, and Ben Bishop leads the way with six wins, a save percentage of .930, and 2.12 goals allowed per game.

The Canucks trail only Edmonton and Arizona in the Pacific, but they’ll need to build a winning streak if they’ll keep up. Vancouver is coming off a 5-3 win over Nashville. Perhaps the biggest advantage the Canucks have in tonight’s contest is that Dallas will be playing the second game of a back-to-back.

On average, the Canucks are scoring 3.21 goals per game (12th) while allowing 2.58 goals per game (5th).

Center Elias Pettersson leads Vancouver with eight goals, 15 assists, and 23 points.
