Another chance for Harbaugh to save his ass and get this team on track to make the Ohio State match-up in Ann Arbor mean something. Iowa has QB Stanley and a solid defense but Michigan will not see a runner like Jonathan Taylor like Wisconsin possesses. The Hawkeyes will be running into a focused Wolverine team that already has a blemish on their report card so they can throw all cau±tion to the wind and go out and attack instead of playing conservative like they did in Madison.
Going up against the beef that the Badger O-Line brings to the table will help the Maize & Blue in the battle in the trenches. This number may hit 6.5-7

Analysis: 2-star (322) NORTHERN ILLINOIS -4 over Ball St. 3:30pm ET. Northern Illinois comes in off 3 straight losses but all of them were on the road and were against the likes of Utah, Nebraska and Vanderbilt. Now they return home where they are 47-9 SU the last 10-years plus and have dominated Ball State as of late in the series. The Huskies have won 10 straight over the Cardinals and have covered 7 straight (by 10 ppg). Yes, Ball St is improved this year but they’ve played a weaker schedule than NIU so far. NIU needs a feel-good win and they get one here.

Analysis: LSU comes in fresh off a bye. Meanwhile, Utah St is off a non-covering win over Colorado St. Utah St had 25-11 first down and 444-296 yard edges including 240-79 on the ground but also turned it over 4 times. The game featured 3 non-offensive TD’s. Utah St got a 100-yard kick return TD in the first quarter, Colorado St a 44-yard interception return TD in the second quarter and Utah St an 8-yard fumble return TD in the fourth quarter. Utah St RB Gerold Bright ran for 179 yards. This week’s Utah St/LSU total is 72.5. That’s the 2nd highest LSU total in history. And for good reason considering LSU is 4-0 to the OVER this year with a combined margin of 84 points. We like the dog here who is perfectly capable of scoring some late TD’s against a banged up LSU defense. Also with an 11am local kick, LSU’s home crowd isn’t a raucous as it would be at night.

The Eagles had a 7.1-5.1 yards per play advantage and lost! Meanwhile, Louisville comes in off a bye. There are some injury questions at QB for them but this line is saying either Jawon Pass or Malik Cunningham will play. Even if they do, will they be 100%? We like BC again here as they’re on a 11-3-2 ATS run as a road dog (+4.6 ppg).

Analysis: Last week Oregon State had 28-18 first down and 501-353 yard edges as their offense woke up in the second half (trailed 21-0 early 3Q). Stanford got a 39-yard FG with :01 left and the Beavers did miss 2 FG’s in the first half. Oregon St QB Jake Luton was 27 of 39 for 337 yards and a TD while RB Artavis Pierce ran for 141 yards and 2 TD’s. On the other side, we lost fading UCLA last week. Arizona QB Khalil Tate was a late scratch, announced about an hour before kickoff. UCLA missed a 39-yard FG with :34 left in the game that would’ve sent it to OT. UCLA QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson left late in the third quarter after an Arizona player fell on his left leg from behind. His replacement, sophomore Austin Burton, was 5 of 9 for 48 yards. With Thompson-Robinson questionable here, we’ll take the Beavers.

Analysis: Rice is 0-5 this season but the Owls are much improved from a year ago (+5.0 in our power ratings). Last week they nearly upset Louisiana Tech at home. Rice had a 338-294 yard edge including 190-84 on the ground but fell by 3 in OT. On the other side, UAB is coming off their first loss of the season (20-13 at Western Kentucky). It was misleading as UAB had 20-14 first down and 298-222 yard edges including 117-33 on the ground but were -3 in TO’s. UAB QB Tyler Johnston was abysmal going 18 of 31 for 181 yards and a 0-4 ratio. UAB is 14-0 SU/11-2-1 ATS at home since returning in 2017 and we like them by double-digits.

Boston College has serious question marks all over their defense. Anthony Brown is missing wide open receivers. Louisville has the talent, speed and athletes to limit AJ Dillon. Bad defenses don’t travel well and that is exactly the scenario we have here. Anthony Brown is just not a guy I trust right now to win a game with his arm on the road. Louisville has team speed on both sides of the ball that will be too much for the Eagles today. Take Boston College.

West Virginia has a lot of really good running backs. Texas is thin on defense this year and the secondary is a mess with injuries. If the Mountaineers can run the ball well they will put up points and keep that high powered Texas offense off the field. The Stills brothers are great assets on the WVU Defensive Line and have the talent to rattle Sam Ehlinger who himself is dealing with a rib injury. This is a large spread to cover on the road without a rock solid defense. I think the Mountaineers can keep it close. Take WVU.

Quentin Harris has looked sharp at QB for Duke this year. David Cutliffe is an offensive minded coach that can do things to make defenses look silly. The Blue Devils have a ton of talent and experience on their defense. This really is a complete team that is playing well. Pitt has also been impressive. The Panthers QB Kenny Pickett is dealing with a shoulder injury so we will see if Duke can take advantage and knock him around early. The Pitt Offensive Line is inexperienced so on the road are vulnerable. The Pitt Defensive Line also has a few injuries too it and lacks experience. Pitt is a team that can be awful or great. They can take PSU to the wire and then almost lose to Delaware. I think the Blue Devils are in a much better spot at this point in the season. Take Duke.

Tech QB Alan Bowman is out for this game so the line has been pumped up in Oklahoma State’s favor. Jeff Duffey is a very capable backup and we have to remember that the Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders is still a freshman himself. Tech is 2-2 in the standings and are feeling desperate. This Red Raiders team has an experienced offensive line, good receivers and an experienced defense. Home field advantage is huge in College Football and I believe this team can take Oklahoma State to the wire. The Cowboys are more of a ball control offense and are not looking to score in 90 seconds like in years past. The Red Raiders need to lean on their offensive line and simply run the football. Take Texas Tech.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a tight, low-scoring game similar to their last contest which ended as a 14-13 Iowa victory.

This game opened at 68. Once you hit the 70 mark even in college football, it’s very tough to hit. LSU is on a seven game Over streak, explaining one big reason why this line is so high. LSU has hit the Over in all four games this season and is actually the No. 1 team in college football for Over disparity. They are averaging hitting the Over by 21.5 points per game this season. That's another reason why this line is way overvalued here. I don’t see this game getting Over the 60 mark, let alone 73. Under is the play.
