An extremely overvalued Cavaliers team on the road against a Miami team that is coming off an embarrassing loss? Sign me up. Miami, just last week, was a two-touchdown favorite versus Virginia Tech, and lost outright by a touchdown. Now at home in a primetime setting, there is no choice but to fade the public and hammer the Canes. Yes, Virginia is ranked 20th in the country, but Miami has won its last three contests versus Virginia at home. Last time they were home against the Cavaliers, the Hurricanes were 19- point favorites. Here as a 2-point favorite, it is very hard to pass up. Canes by double-digits Friday night.

This spread stinks out loud upon first sight, but the deeper you look, the more sense it starts to make. Still, I'm not a fan of either side, so instead I'm going to take the Under. The offensive lines for both of these teams stink nearly as loudly as this spread, and both will be going against strong defensive fronts. That's going to make life difficult for both offenses.

Virginia QB Bryce Perkins is going to make this a shootout, and Miami QB N'Kosi Perry won't be able to keep up. Why? Because the Hurricanes' offensive line is flat out dreadful. Perkins will force Perry to throw for 300 yards and Miami won't keep pace.

N'Kosi Perry gets the start at QB this week for the Hurricanes, and he is coming off of a monster game last week against Virginia Tech. The oddsmakers are giving the Canes a ton of credit for their offensive outburst against Virginia Tech. What should be noted is that this was a Virginia Tech team that got blown out by Duke. The Cavaliers have one of the better defenses in the ACC, especially on the edges, and won't be as giving as the Hokies.

Miami should have a motivational edge, and the Hurricanes surely have the talent to beat Virginia. But coach Manny Diaz reportedly plans to stick with Jarren Williams at quarterback after the freshman threw three interceptions in his first seven passes against Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers come off a bye following their second-half collapse against Notre Dame. Their edge in experience and discipline should be the difference against a Miami club that hasn't played to its potential.

A road teams best shot at winning a series is to steal game one. The Cardinals did just that in Atlanta in the last series because they were super aggressive on the bases. Washington has that same ability with team speed. Both teams have great stolen base potential that we should see put to work early and often tonight. The bullpens will go back to normal tonight which scares me if I am a Nationals fan. Both teams are coming off emotional wins. The Cardinals did it with the bats in the front end of their last game while the Nationals did it in the late stages. There should be a steady stream of offense that makes this high scoring. Take the Over.
