What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about these two teams? For me it’s the two men under center. Both Drew Brees and DeShaun Watson are poised for another big season and I expect them to be the main story lines in tomorrow’s summaries. Houston won 11 games last year and it’s 5-1 SU in its last six on the road. The loss of Jadveon Clowney on the defensive side of the ball though is obviously a huge hole for Houston to fill. But that’s good news for Brees, who has won 24 games combined over the last two seasons. Brees has extremely skilled offensive weapons around him this year in Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas and I expect them to expose this weakened Houston defense. For all the reasons listed above, consider the over in this non-conference matchup on Monday night.

Miami smoked KC yesterday but are just 1-9 at home off a home win by 5+ runs and have lost 8 of 11 on Mondays and 25 of 36 as a home dog from +125 to +175. Mike Trout, who missed Sunday’s game, remains questionable for this one with soreness in his toe.
Coming into this contest, Cleveland slugger Yasiel Puig is batting .310 over a seven-game hitting streak in which he’s tallied three doubles. On the season, Puig is batting .255 with 24 homers and 76 RBIs.
Right-hander Shane Bieber (13-7, 3.24 ERA) starts for Cleveland. In seven of his last eight starts, Bieber has gone at least six innings and allowed two earned runs with at least seven strikeouts. The 24-year-old leads the majors with three complete games this season.
The Angels are going with Patrick Sandoval (0-2, 4.91 ERA) to start. The 22-year-old left-hander has not lasted beyond the fifth inning in any start this season. In his last start, Sandoval pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed one run.
Against teams with a losing record, the Indians have won 19 of their last 26 on the road. The Angels are winless in Sandoval’s last four starts.
