NCAA-B | Toledo vs Kent State
Play on: Kent State +2½ -109 at GTBets

I really like KSU this season and they've won six of their last eight. The Golden Flashes are led by Jaylin Walker who can score from all over the court. Jalen Avery and Antonio Williams are good complementary pieces. This team is 4-2-1 against the spread this season as an underdog. They are starting to play a little defense and will need it against Toledo. The Rockets have won three straight after a two game losing streak. Toledo is not as strong on the road losing at Buffalo and Wright State. They do have wins at Western Michigan, Marshall and Oakland with the last two by one point. I'm playing a hunch here in a higher scoring game that the home team can get the win in this one.

NHL | Coyotes vs Senators
Play on: Senators -110 at GTBets

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Game #22 Tuesday Free Pick Ottawa Senators Money Line (-) vs Arizona Coyotes @ 7:35 ET - I know the Coyotes have been playing better and also have a surprisingly solid road record this season. However, Arizona has one more game tomorrow (at Montreal) before their time off for the All Star break begins. Conversely, this is the Senators final game before their break and they're definitely going to "leave it all on the ice" here. Ottawa has been quite solid at home this season but is coming off a road loss at St Louis Saturday which was decided on a controversial goal. The Senators are well-rested here with 2 full days off since the loss to the Blues. Also, prior to that defeat Ottawa had won 4 of their 5 prior games. Also, the Sens have allowed an average of just 2 goals per game in their last 6 games. The Coyotes have lost 8 of their last 11 visits to Ottawa. The Senators take advantage of their extra rest while Arizona is in a tough stretch of 5 games in 8 days leading into the All Star break. Free Pick OTTAWA

NCAA-B | Boise State vs Air Force
Play on: Air Force +4½ -110 at sportsbook

My 1* Free Play is on Air Force (9:00 EST).

Boise State is 8-10 and it enters this one “reeling” after three straight losses. Most recently it fell to Fresno State. A bright spot in the most recent setback was the play of Alex Hobbs, who had 15 points and four assists. Only one other player would score in double figures though.

Air Force fans can empathize. The Falcons are 7-11 after falling 67-52 to a tough Nevada team last time out. Previous to that Air Force had won two straight. Lavelle Scottie was a standout in a losing cause to Nevada with 15 points and seven boards.

I think home court is a significant factor working in favor of Air Force tonight between these two struggling teams. The Falcons are a near-perfect 6-1 ATS in their last seven following a SU loss and they’re 13-5 ATS in their last 18 at home.

Conversely the Broncos have struggled in this spot for bettors, going just 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games following a three games or longer SU losing streak.

In a contest which I envision being decided by whichever of these hungry teams has its hands on the ball last, I’ll recommend grabbing as many points as you can.

Good luck…Larry

Jay Wright's Wildcats are starting to get things figured out, as they head to Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis tonight having won 6 in a row straight up while covering in 4 of those 6 wins. Included are conference road wins at Providence and at Creighton.

Butler has also righted things after their 1-4 slide, as the Bulldogs have won their last pair of games, including a home win and cover over St. John's their last time out to make it 9-1 straight up on their home court this year, and 4-1 versus the spread their last 5 games played.

In this near pick spot, I am interested in backing the defending champions, as Villanova does bring a 7-2 road spread mark into this Tuesday night Big East meeting, and they do also bring wins in the last pair of series meetings into this contest. After getting upset at Butler last season 101-93, 'Nova bounced back with the home win and cover over the Bulldogs, then dumped them in the semifinals of the conference tournament in New York in March both straight up and against the spread.

Seniors Phil Booth and Eric Paschall are carrying the load for the Wildcats as they come into this game with a combined average of 35 points. The 'Cats are also getting red-hot outside shooting right now from Collin Gillespie who has drained 10 three-pointers in Villanova's last 2 wins.

The Bulldogs are getting balanced scoring, as they have 4 players netting double-figures, and a win here at home tonight would go a long way to strengthen their resume come March. The season averages for both teams show a very close game could be in the makings, as Butler comes in with 74+ points per game scored, while Villanova comes in at 75+ points per game. Both teams are allowing right at 67 points per game, and the rebounding edge is also very close, with the Wildcats averaging just 2 boards per game more then their conference rivals.

It all comes down to the eyeball test, and right now Villanova is starting to resemble a team that is ready to defend their crown in a little less than 2 months.

My play is on the Wildcats tonight.

Think the impost is a little inflated in Ann Arbor here on Tuesday, as Michigan will look to bounce-back from their first loss all year long tonight when they host the scuffling Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Michigan could not get past Wisconsin on Saturday in Madison, as the Wolverines lost a 64-54 decision that was a lot closer than the final 10 point margin would indicate.

On the same day, Minnesota was able to erase their mystifying 95-68 loss at Illinois with a 65-64 home win over Penn State. Richard Pitino's team has split their last 4 in Big Ten play, including a home blowout loss at the hands of Maryland. The Gophers are also on a 2-7 spread slide, but that is all factored into this double-digit impost that the oddsmakers have placed on this game.

Michigan will be able to get back in the win column tonight is my thought, but looking over the recent series meetings between the teams, it sure appears that Minnesota will be more than a handful for the Wolverines in this spot tonight.

Minnesota has kept the score line respectable when they play Michigan, as the Wolverines do stand at 9-1 straight up the past 10 meetings, but it is the Gophers that have covered in 3 of the last 5 series meetings, and 2 of the last 4 series meetings have needed overtime to decide.

Minny's last 3 visits to Crisler Arena have been decided by 3, 5 and 5 points, and the Golden Gophers largest loss in the series in the past 10 games was a 10-point loss back in 2014. All of the rest of the meetings have been decided by 8 points or less.

I know Michigan wants to get that bad taste of their first loss out of their mouths quickly, and they should definitely do so in this spot, but with the Gophers holding their own in this series, I will take the double-digits out for a spin in tonight's meeting.

3* MINNESOTA

My complimentary winner for Tuesday is on the South Florida Bulls, laying the small number to the Wichita State Shockers.

The Bulls are in after suffering just its second home loss of the season, a hard-fought 69-60 decision to No. 17 Houston on Saturday. Nevertheless, David Collins scored a season-high 23 points and has now recorded five 20-point games this season and continues to lead USF with 14.8 points per game. Collins has also been strong defensively for the Bulls, ranking 13th in the country and second in the league with 2.6 steals per game.

Chipping in impressively has been redshirt freshman Alexis Yetna, who ranks 11th in the nation and first in the league with 10.2 rebounds per game. Yetna adds 12.7 points per game and is the only player in The American Athletic Conference to average a double-double. Further, Yetna has produced nine double-doubles this season and ranks 19th in the nation.

Wichita State, meanwhile, has lost five of its last six games after losing 66-55 at home to Cincinnati on Saturday. The Shockers have yet to win on the road this season and come in with a disappointing 0-4 mark away from home. The Shockers have dropped all four of their road games by at least nine points and is losing on the road by an average of 17.0 points per game.

Take the Bulls here, as they win and cover.
