Love Central Michigan here at this pick'em price since they are at home and they are 7-0 SU at home so far this season. Central has lost their last 3 straight games to Akron so they will have a big revenge motivation here and they get to take on an Akron team that is 0-2 SU this season in true road games. Take Central Michigan here as the play of the day.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA) - 8:05 PM EST Premium Pick
Pick: Point Spread: -8/-110 Oklahoma City Thunder
Sometimes a team gets a psychological lift in their first game following a coaching change. I don't see that happening, though, with the Timberwolves in this matchup after they fired Tom Thibodeau on Sunday. Oklahoma City is in revenge mode from a home loss to Minnesota just two weeks ago. That was a rare road victory for the Timberwolves, who have played far worse away from Target Center going 5-15 SU, 8-12 in their away games. The Thunder are one of the top-seven teams in the NBA. The Timberwolves are a below .500 club. Motivation is key for Oklahoma City, which has a winning spread mark at home and is 5-2 ATS the past seven times laying 7 or more points. The Thunder lost at home to the Wizards in embarrassing fashion, 116-98, this past Sunday getting dominated on the boards and defense. Those are two of the Thunder's strong areas. The Thunder went into that matchup against the Wizards fat and happy returning home after going 2-0 on a West Coast trip beating the Lakers and Trail Blazers. The Thunder are too professional and have too much superstar talent with Russell Westbrook and Paul George to suffer a second straight home loss to an inferior opponent especially with revenge motivation. The Timberwolves may not have their full focus as the firing of Thibodeau was a surprise coming after the team had blown out the Lakers at home for their second win in a row. Thibodeau not only was the head coach, but also president of basketball operations. It's a distracting and unexpected move. Now the Timberwolves have to play a far superior opponent on the road just two days later. Untested 32-year-old Ryan Saunders is the Timberwolves' interim coach. I don't see him enjoying success in this spot.

Golden Knights vs. Sharks Prediction The Las Vegas Golden Knights are on a back-to-back with travel at the San Jose Sharks tonight and are the underdogs. Can Las Vegas stay hot and send San Jose to a third consecutive defeat?
Nuggets vs. Celtics Prediction The Denver Nuggets have won their last three games going into tonight's showdown at the Boston Celtics. Can Boston protect its home court as the favorites in this matchup?
Jazz vs. Wizards Prediction The Utah Jazz are only a .500 team on the road this season and face a Washington Wizards team tonight that is 22-13 straight up on their home court. Can Utah prevail and cover the spread as the favorites in D.C.?
Pistons vs. Cavaliers Prediction The Detroit Pistons have been red-hot at home, but dropped their last two on the road last week. Will Detroit find its footing away from home tonight in a back-to-back situation at the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Pacers vs. Trail Blazers Prediction The Pacers and Trail Blazers are each fighting for homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs in their respective conferences and will meet tonight in Portland at 10:30 p.m. ET. Given how well the Blazers have played at the Moda Center, are they a good bet to cover tonight?
Bulls vs. Suns Prediction The Phoenix Suns own a dreadful 17-54 record, but they’ve also won six of their last 10 games. Listed as a small home favorite tonight, will they beat the struggling Bulls and also cash for bettors in the process? Tip-off for tonight’s game is set for 10:00 p.m. ET.
Pelicans vs. Mavericks Prediction A pair of struggling teams will meet Monday night in Dallas where the Mavericks will host the Pelicans at 8:30 p.m. ET. Given how both teams have played poorly over their previous 10 games, is New Orleans a live dog catching 4.5 points on the road?
