CAROLINA @ BUFFALO | 04/05 | 7:00 PM EDT
BUFFALO +1.5
ANALYSIS: Tuesday game. If the books are going to keep giving us great Sabres puckline prices (-122 here), I'm going to continue cashing. While I didn't play them Sunday vs. Florida in a two-goal loss, Buffalo had at least one point in the eight previous games, and all we need is a point to guarantee a puckline victory. At home this season, Buffalo is a stellar 22-14 ATS. Carolina is slightly under .500 ATS on the road.

N.Y. ISLANDERS @ DALLAS | 04/05 | 8:30 PM EDT
DALLAS -135
ANALYSIS: My model says the Stars win in over 70 of the simulations, so you're getting excellent value with them at this number. Dallas returns home from a strong road trip during which it won three of four games. The Stars have been strong in their own building this season, posting a 21-9-1 record at American Airlines Center, and will have revenge on their mind after losing 4-2 at New York a few weeks ago. Take the Stars.

COLORADO @ PITTSBURGH | 04/05 | 7:00 PM EDT
PITTSBURGH -120
ANALYSIS: The Penguins have been really good in the second game of a home-and-home series of late, winning four of five. Pittsburgh owns a plus-284 shot differential, ranks 12th in shots against and is 13th in faceoff winning percentage. Colorado owns a plus-263 shot differential, ranks 18th in shots against and 29th in faceoff winning percentage. The Penguins are first in penalty minutes (468), while the Avalanche are 23rd (646). Pittsburgh's penalty-killing unit is second in the NHL while Colorado is ranked 17th. Avalanche C Nazem Kadri (upper body), who has 83 points in 65 games, is out and will be missed. Take the hungry hosts.

TORONTO @ FLORIDA | 04/05 | 7:00 PM EDT
FLORIDA -160
ANALYSIS: I faded the Leafs in Tampa on Monday night unfortunately, and Toronto was incredibly impressive in a 6-2 victory behind an Auston Matthews hat trick. If the Leafs can pull off the Tampa/Sunrise double in a back-to-back, well kudos because it's incredibly rare for any team to complete the Florida Sweep at all -- much less in 24 hours. Plus, it's rookie Eric Kallgren in net tonight for Toronto, and he has allowed at least three goals in four straight outings. I usually go Under 7 goals, which is the total here, but I simply can't do it this time. I won't be going Over, though, either.

MEMPHIS @ UTAH | 04/05 | 9:00 PM EDT
MEMPHIS +5.5
ANALYSIS: The Grizzlies are on an insane heater right now. They have won seven straight, going 6-1 ATS during that stretch. They rested just about all of their key players in their last game against the Suns, and still won by eight points. Meanwhile, the Jazz have lost six of their last seven games and went 0-7 ATS during that stretch. I like the Grizzlies to keep this close, if not win outright.

OVER 224.5
ANALYSIS: Memphis is riding a seven-game winning streak without Ja Morant and has clinched the No. 2 seed in the West. The Jazz have lost six of their last seven (0-7 ATS), with all six losses coming on a brutal road trip. They now trail Denver by one-half game for fifth place, and more poor play could see Minnesota (1.5 games back) pass them for the No. 6 seed. Memphis won and covered both of their previous meetings this season. The best angle in this game is the total getting Over, as it happened in both matchups,

COLORADO @ PITTSBURGH | 04/05 | 7:00 PM EDT
PITTSBURGH -114
ANALYSIS: Potential Stanley Cup Final preview and I'm backing the Penguins because they are home and will have Kasperi Kapanen (11G, 19A) in the lineup after he was iffy, while the Avalanche are without Nazem Kadri (26G, 57A) and Gabriel Landeskog (30G, 29A). Tristan Jarry is also a superior goaltender to Darcy Kuemper. The Pens look for payback from a 3-2 loss in Denver on Saturday, where the Avs are nearly invincible. Colorado is 2-6 in its past eight in the second of a home-and-home situation.

MINNESOTA @ NASHVILLE | 04/05 | 8:00 PM EDT
NASHVILLE +1.5
ANALYSIS: The Wild are playing great hockey, but this is their third straight very tough opponent on the road since Saturday. The Preds are well-rested having been off since Friday and frankly need this more in the Western Conference playoff chase. This is a big price and I might play it with something TBA off-site (will wait on some injuries/goaltending choices to decide which), but I have a hard time seeing Nashville lose by more than a goal at home, where it has won six of seven. The Predators have won nine of their last 10 games vs. the Wild. Norris Trophy candidate Roman Josi has a whopping eight points in the two wins this season for Nashville. We are going to have to get used to expensive +1.5 pucklines for the playoffs.

MILWAUKEE @ CHICAGO | 04/05 | 8:00 PM EDT
MILWAUKEE -236
ANALYSIS: I'm a Bulls fan so this pains me a bit, but they are simply terrible against the NBA's best teams, and the Bucks have spanked them for about four years running. Zach LaVine is not expected to play, so this may get to -300 or more. I'll just have to hope the Bucks don't rule anyone out. Milwaukee is still playing for seeding purposes.

BOSTON @ DETROIT | 04/05 | 7:30 PM EDT
DETROIT +1.5
ANALYSIS: I was probably going to pass on this one but will give the Wings a shot at -145 because Boston is playing the second of a back-to-back and third game in four nights and has ruled out David Pastrnak (38 goals, 33 assists). The Wings, meanwhile, have mailed it in on a six-game skid but will have back top forward Tyler Bertuzzi (26G, 28A) after he missed Sunday's game. Detroit has won four of the past five at home in this series and has dragged its past two very good opponents in Motown (Tampa Bay and the Rangers) to overtime. That's all I'm asking here.
