ANALYSIS: I just didn't/don't love any of the spreads for today's Elite Eight games so gonna pass. This is a true home game for South Alabama in the Basketball Classic on Monday. I see Larry is taking Coastal. That's fine. +3.5 is a solid number and the Chants may well cover that, but I don't think they win. The Jaguars are 15-2 at home and frankly that's about my only reasoning. They are Sun Belt rivals if you didn't know and USA won at Coastal by 3 on Feb. 17. Their game at South Alabama ended up being called off due to COVID.

We're running it back on UConn, because the reasoning hasn't changed since Saturday. Like UConn's Sweet 16 contest against Indiana, this one is a pseudo-home game in its own state. And like that matchup, this one is being priced more like a neutral-site game.
Aside from location, NC State probably has been the better team this season. It's why the Wolfpack earned a No.1 seed and UConn settled for No. 2. But this is all about who's better right now. UConn's ups and downs this campaign came in large part as a result of some well-documented injuries and other absences, but the Huskies have been a force since getting healthy around a month ago.
UConn cruised to a win over the Hoosiers to get here, while NC State needed some late-game magic to defeat No. 5 seed Notre Dame in the previous round. Ride the hot hand and the home cooking and take the Huskies as they look to extend their incredible Final Four streak for one more year.

ANALYSIS: Paying -210 for the puckline, but I'll play this with another game TBA Monday most likely. The books are just not giving us great ML value, so I'm changing up a little with my bets and paying the "tax" on a more sure thing. Plus, I rather like not sweating overtime/shootout because I swear that I'm like 0-27 on games that go to shootouts this year. So incredibly frustrating. The Caps are 3-0 vs. the Hurricanes this season so I'm a bit surprised they are even home dogs. TJ Oshie returned from injury for Washington on Saturday and it sounds as if Nic Dowd might Monday. Carolina is 1-4 in its past five on the road. Maybe it wins here but tough to see it by multiple goals.
