INDIANA @ MICHIGAN | 03/10 | 11:30 AM EST
MICHIGAN -2
ANALYSIS: Michigan enjoys facing Indiana, as the Wolverines have won and covered the past nine meetings. That includes an 80-62 beatdown at Assembly Hall this season. The Hoosiers run their offense through the post but that's where Michigan is strongest, with Hunter Dickinson and Moussa Diabate. In Juwan Howard's return, I like the Wolverines to cover this small number.
MIAMI (OHIO) @ KENT ST. | 03/10 | 4:00 PM EST
KENT ST. -6.5
ANALYSIS: Kent State has won 12 in a row as it opens the MAC Tournament against seventh-seeded Miami of Ohio. The Golden Flashes feature the conference Player of the Year in Sincere Carry, not to mention the Sixth Man of the Year and the Coach of the Year. They beat the RedHawks by 13 in the only regular-season meeting, though Miami was without senior forward Dalonte Brown. Even though Brown is back and coming off a 15-point performance, I'll back Kent State to improve to 10-2-1 ATS in its last 13 games.

COLORADO @ CAROLINA | 03/10 | 7:00 PM EST
CAROLINA -105
ANALYSIS: This will be Colorado's fourth game in six days. The Avalanche also have a big revenge game against Calgary on deck. The Hurricanes own a +246 shot differential and rank No. 3 in shots against. Colorado is ranked No. 18 in shots against, while playing two more games than Carolina. The Hurricanes own the No. 1 power play and No. 2 penalty kill in the NHL. Carolina is ranked No. 4 in face-off win percentage, while the Avalanche are ranked No. 31. Carolina is 6-1-2 when playing with three or more days of rest. Take the home underdog.

CAL-BAKER. @ LBSU | 03/10 | 3:00 PM EST
LBSU -5
ANALYSIS: The Beach are rolling as they are 14-2 SU and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games, including a win and cover against the Roadrunners. This spread is way too low. The Roadrunners are terrible. They are 2-10 SU and 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 games. The Beach should win this game by double digits.
NORTHWESTERN @ IOWA | 03/10 | 2:00 PM EST
IOWA -7.5
ANALYSIS: This spread would be a lot higher if it wasn’t in March. The Hawkeyes dominated the Wildcats in their first matchup as they won by 21 points (and had a 19 point lead at halftime). The Wildcats are coming off of a 40 minute battle yesterday and they will probably be a little tired. The Hawkeyes offense will put up too many points for the Wildcats to compete with. Lay the points.
GEORGE MASON @ FORDHAM | 03/10 | 12:00 PM EST
FORDHAM +5.5
ANALYSIS: I am surprised to see this line. This is the same line as in their first meeting where the Rams beat the Patriots outright 50-47. I think Fordham has a better team than George Mason and the Rams should be favored. Their defense should rule this game. This game should be tight and the Rams should cover this spread.

CAL-BAKER. @ LBSU | 03/10 | 3:00 PM EST
LBSU -218
ANALYSIS: This spread/ML seems awfully low considering Long Beach State was the Big West regular-season champion at 12-3 and CSU Bakersfield finished 2-12. There are no injuries to LBSU that I can find; Colin Slater was named Big West Player of the Year and freshman Jadon Jones the Big West Defensive Player of the Year. The Beach won the lone regular-season meeting by nine. It is March, though, and we've seen weird results aplenty. LBSU played a lot of close games so maybe it doesn't cover the spread, but that's why moneylines were invented. Whether I parlay this is TBA as I'm just checking the board but wanted to lock this number down -- I am looking at Texas over TCU at around the same price.

BUTLER @ PROVIDENCE | 03/10 | 12:00 PM EST
BUTLER +7.5
ANALYSIS: Butler is coming off an exhausting overtime win over Xavier, but I like the Bulldogs to keep it close at MSG. Butler matches up well with Providence: the Friars swept the regular-season meetings, but only by seven points and one point -- in overtime. In the OT game at Butler, the Bulldogs had built a 19-point lead. This is a different team with seniors Bo Hodges and Bryce Nze in the lineup. Providence should advance, but it won't be easy.
UTAH ST. @ COLORADO ST. | 03/10 | 9:00 PM EST
COLORADO ST. -3
ANALYSIS: The Rams won both meetings this season, by five and 11 points, and I think they get the sweep tonight in the Mountain West Conference Tournament quarterfinals. Utah State handled Air Force on Wednesday with ease, but the Aggies are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four versus winning teams. Over their last eight games, the Aggies have defeated the three worst teams in the conference and lost to everyone else. Four of the five losses came by double digits. Lay the points.

SYRACUSE @ DUKE | 03/10 | 12:00 PM EST
DUKE -15
ANALYSIS: Duke is 6-0 straight up and 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings in this series, and the Blue Devils won the first regular season meeting by 20 and the second by 25. Syracuse had yet to put a top-tier quality win on their resume (0-9 in Quad 1 games) and while the offensive firepower in a blowout win against Florida State on Wednesday led to an easy cover, the Orange had failed to cover the spread in the previous five games. Throw in Buddy Boeheim’s suspension and any Duke motivation to course correct after the loss to North Carolina and I’ll take the Blue Devils at anything under -16.
BUTLER @ PROVIDENCE | 03/10 | 12:00 PM EST
UNDER 127
ANALYSIS: Both teams have been cashing over tickets coming down the stretch, but those trends are going to run into a long-standing principle: early game MSG unders. Whether it’s the Knicks on Christmas Day or the first game of a full set of Big East Tournament action, the city that never sleeps sometimes takes a while to wake up in terms of pace and scoring. We're already seeing a low number drop because these are two of the three slowest teams in the Big East in terms of pace in conference play, so I'd snatch this up now and stay away if it gets below 126.
INDIANA @ MICHIGAN | 03/10 | 11:30 AM EST
MICHIGAN -3
ANALYSIS: While Juwan Howard's return to the sideline will dominate the headlines, my handicapping concern is more closely tied to the return of Michigan big man Hunter Dickinson. After missing the regular season finale with an illness, Dickinson is expected to be back and that's bad news for Indiana. In the only meeting this season Dickinson had 25 points and 9 rebounds and the Wolverines offense absolutely carved up Indiana’s defense in Bloomington to the tune of 1.21 points per possession. A similar performance would be tough for Indiana to handle considering the Hoosiers are 3-6 against the spread in their last 9 games and the offense has sputtered down the stretch with less than 70 points in 8 of its last 10 games.

MICHIGAN -150
ANALYSIS: Clearly the NCAA Tournament bubble game of the day (see news feed). Indiana absolutely has to have this, while Michigan will be sweating Selection Sunday with a loss. Figured I should have taken this last night when it was a bit lower, but with Hunter Dickinson back the Wolverines should win. He dominated in Bloomington on Jan. 23 when UM won comfortably in the lone meeting of the season between the schools. Yeah, IU will have a bit of a fan advantage in Indianapolis, but the game is so early and on a Thursday it's not like it will be that crazy. Is it a good thing that Michigan gets back Coach Juwan Howard? The team arguably played better under Phil Martelli.

MIAMI (OHIO) @ KENT ST. | 03/10 | 4:00 PM EST
KENT ST. -280
ANALYSIS: Big number but protecting myself on a parlay with Texas over TCU -- check the SportsLine parlay calculator for the price. I'm shocked this isn't over -300 as Kent State finished second in the MAC at 16-4 and Miami was 8-12 and lost the lone regular-season meeting by 13 at home. KSU has the MAC Player of the Year in Sincere Carry and Sixth Man of the Year in Malique Jacobs, who was runner-up in the Defensive Player of the Year voting. Both Carry and Jacobs Carry were named to the all-MAC Defensive Team. I don't trust spreads that much in the regular season, and I don't at all in tournaments with neutral sites, weird things happening and every game an elimination matchup.
+2123 176-110-3 IN LAST 289 CBB PICKS
VEGAS @ BUFFALO | 03/10 | 7:00 PM EST
BUFFALO +1.5
ANALYSIS: Buffalo stinks, but I'm not taking Vegas -220 on the road with backup Laurent Brossoit in net and the Knights down a handful of key players with Reilly Smith (38 points) a surprising scratch with an undisclosed injury. If I had any stones, I'd pick the Sabres to win outright but I don't trust Craig Anderson that much. Puckline at -135.

Texas A&M is the better team at this point and wins outright.
2 Unit Play. Take #706 Akron +3 over Buffalo (1:30 p.m. ET, Thursday, March 10)
Buffalo has not covered any of their last six games and is 0-7 ATS revenging a loss vs opponent of 10 points or more.
2 Unit Play. Take #767 Sacramento St. +2.5 over Montana St. (2:00 p.m. ET, Thursday, March 10)
Sac. State has covered seven in a row and played Montana State tough twice, covering both.
2 Unit Play. Take #710 Kent State -6.5 over Miami-0 (4:30 p.m. ET, Thursday, March 10)

2 Unit Play. Take #800 North Texas -10.5 over Florida (6:00 p.m. ET, Thursday, March 10)
The best defensive team in the country is North Texas. The Mean Green has won the last three over Rice by 23 or more points.
2 Unit Play. Take #706 Penn State +5 over Ohio State (8:55 p.m. ET, Thursday, March 10)
Penn State is 9-3 ATS record in their last 12 games and 11-6 ATS record as an underdog on the season. Ohio State has lost three of four and is dealing with injuries.
