Ok, St is off a huge revenge blowout win over Texas last out but has failed to cover 9 of 10 if they won 4 of their last 5, 7 of 10 after allowing 60 or less and 0-3 ats if they were up 15 or more at the half last out. NHL | Jets vs Oilers
Play on: Oilers -150 at Bovada
The set-up: After a three-game win streak, the Oilers enter having lost two of their last three, including an OT setback at home vs. Vegas on Monday. The Oilers scored a 3-2 victoy over Winnipeg at the end of February and I think the scuffling home side offers great value to bounce back here and post another victory in this series. The Jets on the other hand have won three straight at home. Winnipeg now hits the road and after this evening's contest it will have two whole nights off before a back-to-back set in Calgary and Vancouver. For me this does indeed set up as a letdown/look-ahead position for the visiting Jets.
The pick: Note as well that Edmonton is 4-1 in its last five home games following an OT loss in which it scored two or less goals in, while Winnipeg is just 2-6 in its last eight following a three games or longer unbeaten home streak. I'll highly recommend a second look at the Oilers on Wednesday night.
