NHL | Penguins vs Sabres
Play on: Penguins -164 at BetOnline

** Thursday Featured Free play **

The NHL Comp play is on Pittsburgh at 7:05 eastern. The Penguins are a solid favorite here tonight and they have home loss revenge on a Buffalo team that has lost the last 4 and has dropped 12 of 15 off a road triple lasting longer than a week. The Sabres are 6-21 after scoring 2 or less goals. Pittsburgh has won 16 of 21 here and the road team is 4-1 in the series. Look for Pittsburgh to serve up revenge. For the NHL Comp play. Play on the Penguins. Rob V- GC Sports

In a possible playoff preview, going to look for the Clippers and the Rockets to give the people what they want tonight at the Toyota Center as the L.A. Clippers and the Houston Rockets make their way Over the posted total.

This is the last of the 4 regular season meetings these Western rivals will play and after a November Under played in Houston, the teams have landed Over the posted total in their last pair of meetings, with the games being decided by just 5 and 3 points. Series numbers show 5 of the last 6 meetings having played Over the total, and with the last pair being so closely contested and extra 5 minutes of play is definitely not out of the realm of possibility.

The Clippers come in win a 116.1 points per game, while the Rockets average over a bucket more at 118.9 points per game, so no doubt in my mind these teams get their points this Thursday night.

Los Angeles just held Oklahoma City to only 94 points on Tuesday night, but they have still landed Over the total in 2 of their last 3 games, while Houston has landed Over the total in 4 of their last 6 games on the season.

I have a feeling this final regular season will not be a disappointment. I like the points add up quickly tonight as the Clippers and the Rockets make it 3 of 4 this year in the Over department.

1* L.A. CLIPPERS-HOUSTON OVER

No choice but to continue to play against the Philadelphia 76ers when they are road-bound, as Philly dropped another one both straight up and against the spread on Tuesday night's stop at the Staples Center against the Lakers.

The Sixers are now winless in their last 9 on the road to fall to 9-23 straight up and 8-22-2 against the spread in those road games!

Sacramento is making a push at the # 8 spot in the Western Conference standings as they have won 3 in a row and 6 of their last 7 both straight up and against the spread.

The Kings have been on a scoring spree, as they have averaged 114.8 points per game over their last 7 games, while the injured 76ers have twice been held under 100 points over their last 6 games this season.

Sacramento did cover in their visit to Philadelphia at the end of November, losing by only 6 points and that was when Philly was at full strength. In fact, the Kings are 5-3 straight up the last 8 series meetings and they have covered in each of the last 5 series meetings with Philly.

With Embiid and Simmons still sidelined and the Sixers looking like 3 miles of bad road on the road, go ahead and lay it with the Kings at home on Thursday night.

4* SACRAMENTO

How about Wednesday’s complimentary winner on Wyoming, an outright winner over Colorado State as a double-digit underdog in the Mountain West tournament! For Friday’s freebie, it’s back to the NBA, as we’ll grab the points with the Hornets as a home underdog against Denver.

Kinda difficult to trust this Nuggets team right now, considering it is coming off Wednesday’s stunning and inexcusable 116-110 home loss to the Warriors as a 16-point favorite—that’s right, Denver was laying 16 and lost by 16!

It would be one thing if it was just an isolated setback, but the Nuggets have been trending in the wrong direction for nearly three weeks. Since capping a 12-4 SU and 11-5 ATS run with a 127-120 home win over the Spurs on Feb. 10, the Nuggets have lost four of seven on the court and five of seven at the betting window. Only two of those seven contests were on the road, but both were ugly results from Denver’s perspective: 132-103 at the Clippers and 113-101 at the Thunder.

While the Nuggets have been heading south, the Hornets are been on a bit of a surge, going 5-4 in their last nine games. Now, 5-4 might not sound that great, but it is for a team that’s got just 21 victories all season. More importantly, Charlotte is 7-2 ATS over this nine-game stretch (all as an underdog), including 3-1 ATS at home.

The key to the Hornets’ modest run of success lately? Defense. They’ve held six of their last opponents to 104 points or fewer, including giving up 76, 93, 93 and 96 points in four of those contests (winning three outright).

The only thing gives me a bit of pause here is Charlotte point guard Devonte’ Graham is questionable with an ankle injury. But even if Graham can’t go, I still like the generous points we’re getting, especially since the home team is 6-0 SU and ATS in the last six meetings between these squads, with the Hornets taking the last three on their own floor.

4* CHARLOTTE
