My 1* Free Play is on the Miami Heat (7:35 EST).
Orlando got the better of Philadelphia 119-98 at home last night. After that highly satisfying beatdown, I think a letdown is imminent in the second game of the back-to-back scenario for the Magic. Fatigue is a big time factor at this time of year and Miami won’t be taking anything for granted here as it has already lost two of three in this season series.
These teams are fighting tooth and nail for the final playoff spot in the East, putting added incentive for the home side to pull out a victory here and to defend its court.
The Heat return to Miami off a win over the Wizards in Washington, shooting a blistering 50 percent from the floor in the victory, led by 20 points from Dwayne Wade off the bench.
Despite Orlando’s recent “up-tick” in play, note that it’s still 0-4 ATS in its last four on the road.
The Heat on the other hand are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
The Magic are 13-22 SU overall as a visiting team this season and I expect Miami to take advantage.
Consider the home side in this one.
