Tuesday’s games
Xavier is 7-4 vs schedule #135; they’re experience team #141 (#237 in MC). Musketeers won five of last six games, losing only true road game by 15 at Cincinnati (crosstown road trip). Xavier is 1-3 vs top 100 teams, beating Illinois, losing other three games by 9-9-15 points. Xavier makes 60.3% of its 3’s, #1 in country. Missouri won its last three games, is 6-3 vs schedule #174; Tigers are experience team #278 that is 2-3 vs top 100 teams, beating Oregon State/UCF. Mizzou turns ball over 20.4% of time but is shooting 39% of its 3-pointers (#31).

Georgia is 5-4 vs schedule #264 in Crean’s first year as coach; Dawgs are experience team #243 whose bench plays minutes #8- they blew 18-point lead in 76-74 home loss to Arizona State on Saturday. Georgia turns ball over 22.8% of time; they’re 4-0 vs teams ranked outside top 200, Oakland is 4-7 vs schedule #169; Grizzlies are experience team #225 that are playing 5th road game in row- they made 18-38 on arc in 87-82 loss at Hartford Sunday, with their two guards playing 39-40 minutes. Oakland is making 40.9% of its 3’s; they’re a bad defensive team.

Charlotte beat East Carolina last two years, by 19-12 points; 49ers are 2-5 vs schedule #205- they lost last three games, scoring 58.7 ppg. UNCC is experience team #336 that turns ball over 21.7% of time and makes only 27.9% of its 3’s- their two wins are by total of five points. This is Charlotte’s first game in 12 days. ECU is 6-4 vs 3rd-easiest schedule in country; Pirates are turning ball over 22% of time and making only 26.3% of their 3’s. ECU hasn’t played in 16 days, so two teams here with lousy numbers playing for first time in couple weeks.

Georgia Southern lost 62-57 at Bradley LY, in brickfest where teams shot combined 9-48 on arc, and Bradley survived 19-36 shooting on foul line. Eagles lost three of last four D-I games, are 5-3 vs schedule #110- they’re 5-1 vs teams ranked outside top 100. GSU is #2 in country, making 60.3% of shots inside arc, only 28.5% outside arc- they’re playing tempo #6. Bradley is 7-4 vs schedule #292; Braves are experience team #105 (#17 in MC) that is 7-0 when allow 70 points or less- they’re 0-4 when allowing more than 70. Braves force turnovers 20.8% of time.

Missouri State lost six of its last seven games; they’re 4-6 vs schedule #158, Bears are experience team #14 (#270 in MC, so lot of transfers) that is only 3-2 vs teams ranked outside top 200, with losses to Air Force, North Dakota State- they’re 0-4 in true road games, with three losses by 11+. Arkansas State is 3-6 vs schedule #208; they’re experience team #90 whose eFG% is #319- they are making only 42.5% of their 2-point shots, 32.3% of their 3’s. Red Wolves won their last game in double OT Friday, rallying back from down 5 with 2:48 left in OT.

Buffalo was outscored 24-12 on foul line in 81-74 loss at Syracuse LY; Bulls were only 10-34 on arc that night. Buffalo is 9-0 vs schedule #139; they’ve got win at West Virginia and whacked Arizona in NCAAs last year. Bulls are experience team #37 (#15 in MC) that also has road wins at St Bonaventure, SIU and won couple games in Ireland- they force turnovers 21.9% of time. Syracuse is 7-3 vs schedule #149 after getting upset at home by Old Dominion Saturday. Orange is 1-3 vs top 100 teams, with only win by 10 at Ohio State.

Creighton is 7-3 vs schedule #42; they’re 1-3 vs top 100 teams, with only win 87-82 over #41 Clemson. Bluejays are experience team #296 that is making 44.8% of its 3’s (#2) but only 63.3% on foul line (#320). Creighton lost 94-75 at Nebraska in their only true road game this season. Oklahoma won its last five games, is 9-1 vs schedule #30, and seems better off with Trae Young in NBA. Sooners are experience team #26 whose defensive eFG% is #10 in country- they’re 5-1 vs top 100 teams, with only loss to Wisconsin by 20 on a neutral court in Atlantis.

New Mexico is 5-4 vs schedule #179; Lobos are 1-4 vs schedule #150, with only win at Bradley by 10- they’ve lost at home to New Mexico State, Colorado. Lobos are experience team #230 whose bench plays minutes #14- New Mexico is playing tempo #17- they’re 0-3 scoring less than 82 points. North Texas is is 7-1 vs schedule #339; Mean Green is experience team #141 whose subs are playing minutes #246. UNT split its only two top 200 games, winning at Indiana State by 11, losing at Oklahoma by 16- this is their first game in ten days.

USC hammered Santa Clara 82-59 LY, holding Broncos to 34.4% inside arc; Trojans are 5-5 vs schedule #107- they lost their last three games, allowing 83.3 ppg. USC lost its only true away game by 11 at Oklahoma; they’re shooting 39% on arc while playing tempo #33- they’re 4-0 vs teams ranked outside top 200, with all four wins by 10+ points. Santa Clara is won four of its last six games after a 4-0 start; Broncos are 0-3 vs top 100 teams, losing by 12-14-14 points. Santa Clara is turning ball over 21.4% of time, forcing turnovers only 15.2% of time.

Charleston needed OT to beat Siena 68-60 in LY’s opener, after trailing by 4 with 1:36 left; Cougars won their last five games after upsetting VCU Saturday. Charleston is 4-0 vs teams ranked outside top 200, with wins by 12-3-13-8 points- they’re 2-1 in true road games, with only loss by 12 at Oklahoma State. Siena is 4-6 vs schedule #152 while playing 2nd-slowest tempo in country. Saints are experience team #277 with new coach; they’re 1-6 vs top 200 teams, with only win over Harvard. Siena’s defensive eFG% is #342- they won two of last three games.

IUPUI won three of last four games with Fort Wayne when teams were Summit League rivals; IUPUI is 6-3 this year vs schedule #253- they’re 4-0 vs teams ranked outside 200, 1-2 in true road tilts, with a 76-69 win at Boston College. Jaguars are experience team #88 that forces turnovers 20.6% of time. Eastern Washington is 1-8 vs schedule #10- this is their first home game in a month. Eagles’ only win is in OT over UMKC. EWU is making only 28.8% of its 3’s- they’re 0-4 vs top 100 teams, with all four losses by 22+ points.
