TCU beat West Virginia 82-73 at home Jan 22, breaking an 0-11 series skid. Horned Frogs lost all five visits to Morgantown, with four of five losses by 12+ points. West Virginia lost six of last nine games after a 15-1 start; they lost two of last three home games. TCU lost five of last six road games, with all five losses by 7 or fewer points- the one win was at Oklahoma State. Gaels are 4-3 in their last seven games; this is their 3rd game in five nights- they’re 4-2 on MAAC road. Siena is 3-10 in MAAC, 3-3 at home- they haven’t played since loss at Canisius Thursday. Iona is 14-8 in last 22 games as road favorites, 4-2 this year; under Patsos, Saints are 4-9 as home underdogs, 2-2 this year. MAAC home underdogs are 9-11 vs spread.
Fairfield won three of its last four games; Stags are 1-5 on MAAC road, with one win by a point at Monmouth. Canisius won eight of last nine games, is tied for 1st in MAAC with win here. Griffins are 6-1 at home in MAAC, losing to local rival Niagara. Fairfield won three of last four games with Canisius, winning last two visits here, by 3-3 points. Under Witherspoon, Canisius is 6-5-1 as home favorites, 3-1-1 this year; Fairfield 21-15-1 in last 37 games as road underdogs, 1-3 this year. MAAC home favorites are 21-21 against the spread.
East Tennessee State won its last 16 games; they’re 7-0 on SoCon road, with five wins by 13+ points. NC-Greensboro won eight of last nine games, with loss in double OT; Spartans are 6-0 at home in SoCon. ETSU shot 58.3% inside arc, beat UNCG 68-58 at home Jan 11; Bucs are 5-3 vs UNCG in series games, winning two of three visits here- they lost by 6 in Greensboro LY. ETSU is 6-3 in last nine games as road underdogs, 2-0 this year; Spartans are 15-10 in last 25 games as home favorites, 3-2 this year. SoCon home favorites are 13-11 vs spread.
Mercer shot 60% inside arc, 10-29 on arc in 81-50 win over Samford Jan 13; Bears are 7-0 vs Samford in SoCon play, winning three visits here, by 1-15-3 points. Mercer is 5-7 in SoCon, 2-4 on road, with wins at VMI/Chattanooga. Bears won their last two games after an 0-4 skid. Samford lost seven of last nine games, but they won last two home games, over VMI/Citadel. Mercer is 10-6 in last 16 games as road favorites, but are 0-2 this year; Samford is 1-7-1 in last nine games as home underdogs, 0-2-1 this year. SoCon home underdogs are 8-12 vs spread.
A new week of college basketball betting action kicks things off on Monday night. Along with the traditional doubleheader of matchups in the ACC at 7:00 p.m. and Big 12 at 9:00 p.m. on ESPN there is a bonus game in the Big 12 on ESPN2 also tipping off in the late-night spot.
Notre Dame at No. 21 North Carolina (ESPN, 7:00 p.m. ET)

Betting Matchup
The Fighting Irish have strung together a pair of victories at home against Boston College and Florida State as favorites both straight-up and against the spread following an extended seven-game losing streak in which they failed to cover in six of those games. The total has gone OVER in four of their last five contests. In Saturday’s 84-69 romp over Florida State as a one-point favorite, Notre Dame (15-10) was led by Matt Farrell’s 28 points. This was a career high for the senior guard, who is now leading the team in scoring with 16.5 points per game.
Coming off last Thursday’s big 82-78 victory against rival Duke as 1 ½-point home favorites, the Tar Heels took care of another in-state rival on Saturday with a 96-89 win over North Carolina State as four-point favorites at home. North Carolina has won its last three games SU and ATS with the total going OVER in six of its last eight games. It is now 8-5 SU in ACC play with an even 6-6-1 record ATS. Junior Forward Luke Maye is also coming off a career best in scoring with 33 points in the victory against the Wolfpack.

Betting Matchup
In what has been a roller-coaster ride through the Big 12 this season, Baylor followed up a SU four-game losing streak with three victories in its last three games both SU and ATS. Saturday’s 80-64 upset over Kansas as a 2 ½-point home underdog was on the heels of last week’s 67-56 road upset against Oklahoma State as two-point underdogs. The total stayed UNDER in both of those games. The Bears are 5-7 SU in conference play with an 8-4 record ATS. Senior guard Manu Lecomte scored 18 points in each of those last two wins.
Texas fell to 5-7 SU (7-5 ATS) in the Big 12 with back-to-back losses to Kansas State at home and to TCU on the road in its last two games. One of those seven losses was to Baylor on the road in early January after coming up on the wrong end of a 69-60 setback as a three-point underdog. In Saturday’s 87-71 loss to TCU as 5 ½-point underdogs, the Longhorns were outscored by 11 points in the first half and could never close the gap. Forward Mohamed Bamba scored 23 points in the losing cause.

With Saturday’s win over Texas, the Horned Frogs snapped a two-game slide as part of their SU 5-7 record in conference play. Senior forward Vladimir Brodziansky led all scorers in that game with 25 points and TCU, as a team, shot 54.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. It is tied for 12th in the nation in scoring with 85.0 PPG.
West Virginia is coming off a costly 88-85 loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday as a 12 ½-point home favorite. This snapped a brief two-game winning streak (SU and ATS) to put the Mountaineers two games behind Texas Tech in the Big 12 standings at 7-5 (SU and ATS). The total has gone OVER in five of their last seven games. Senior guard Jevon Carter has led the team in scoring this season with 17.2 PPG and he put up 33 points against the Cowboys in a losing cause.
