The Marlins lineup has had success against New York starter Carlos Carrasco, with five players batting over .300. Meanwhile Miami's Braxton Garrett is coming off one of his best starts this season (one run in 7 1/3 innings at Washington). My model says the Marlins win 46 percent of the time, making Miami a strong play at this number.

ANALYSIS: Drew Rasmussen pitched well in his first start since returning from the IL, he just ran out of gas. That’s perfectly fine today, as the Rays were off two days ago and were able to get McClanahan to pitch deep last night, so their bullpen is in good shape. The Reds are also significantly worse against righties and Rasmussen is extremely tough against righties. Hunter Greene hasn’t been able to get deep and he has been giving up walks and home runs, something the Rays feast on. I like the Rays here to bounce back after last night’s loss.

ANALYSIS: Martin Perez has been very good this season and he has done it all season. Devin Smeltzer has been mostly good but he doesn’t have nearly the sample size Perez does. In the past 30 days, the Rangers are 10th in the league in wOBA against lefties while the Twins are 26th. The Rangers bullpen has also been much better than the Twins, especially lately. The Rangers made three errors last night and were still able to come away with the win. I like the Rangers at home here.

ANALYSIS: I said I was probably going to end up playing the Orioles all weekend, and I wasn’t lying. Dean Kremer is coming off a tough start but he gave up all five of those runs in the 5th inning. He had pitched 23 straight scoreless innings before that. The Orioles also have all their top relievers available after playing all last night while down. Patrick Sandoval will start for the Angels and he doesn’t get deep in games. That means a lot of bullpen for the bullpen that just blew the save last night. The Orioles have also been much better in the past 30 days against lefties at 12th in wOBA vs. 24th for the full season. I like the Orioles at plus money to stay hot.

He actually didn’t face the Phillies last time around, so I think that gives him an advantage. He’s been very hit or miss in terms of walks, but the Cardinals have their full bullpen available after the Adam Wainwright complete game last night. The Cardinals have seriously struggled lately but they are much better at 24-17 at home. Take the Cardinals to force a rubber game.

Well, I'm going back to St. Louis today even though the Cards are struggling at the plate.
