I'm mildly frustrated because by the time I loaded the game on my sportsbooks, this line was +6.5 and +6 (which is now consensus +6) before I could do much. Not much you can do with these small markets I guess.
Moving forward, in my own records I am going to grade him on lines that are more accessible (this weekend 1 of 4 are the same as released). I'm aware that +6 and +7 in football is a completely different bet, but if I can't post or even get down on them myself I think it would be a better if I posted records that better represented the bets that I (and anyone who uses this information) make. - So saying that, he's 0-1 w/ 2*, -2.2u. 1 push on 3* plays.

ANALYSIS: I am going to pop this Friday line now because I think it's crazy low, but it's active at Caesars and all the other books (only -130 at DraftKings). I do believe it will rise, but it's smart to take advantage of lookahead lines if you can. As of this writing, the Reds are in the midst of a doubleheader, so that's obviously going to tax not only the bullpen but the hitters. The Rays are off today (Thursday) and start AL Cy Young betting favorite Shane McClanahan (9-3, 1.74 ERA), who has allowed just eight earned runs in his last 10 starts spanning 66 innings. Yes, Cincinnati's Luis Castillo can be excellent, but I have to take this price against a tired team even at home. Under 8 runs might be wise too.

ANALYSIS: The first-place Brewers had the day off Thursday to stew on their back-to-back home losses to the Cubs in which they produced a total of four runs. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, played a doubleheader in Cincinnati on Thursday, then had to travel to Milwaukee. That scheduling quirk can only help our cause as the Brewers look to improve to 9-2 versus the Pirates this season and 21-5 at home in this matchup since 2019. Brewers lefty Aaron Ashby has pitched better than his 4.60 ERA would indicate, and Pittsburgh ranks 27th in OPS versus southpaws (.657). Play Milwaukee -1.5 runs at -105.

ANALYSIS: The Orioles have won Tyler Wells' last seven starts, and over his last four he's allowed a total of three runs. Baltimore is going for its sixth straight win against an Angels team on an 11-29 skid. Angels lefty Reid Detmers said he fixed a mechanical issue on his trip to the minors but the last time we saw him in the majors, he was getting lit up by K.C. and the Dodgers. This line could rise; Baltimore is the second-most profitable team to bet on this season, behind the Yankees.

Wells hasn’t allowed more than one run in his last four starts.
