ANALYSIS: The Oilers return home after getting shut down in Game 2. Edmonton plays much better at home and needs this game in a big way. Colorado has lost just two games in the postseason. This seems like a bad spot on the road after scoring 12 goals in its past two games combined. Edmonton is 2-0 in Game 3s this postseason. The Oilers won the face-off battle in both games. Take what should be an inspired home underdog.

ANALYSIS: Tail me at your peril as I'm 0-2 in this series on Oilers pucklines. I absolutely did not see Game 2 coming (did personally bet the under so that at least worked but will rarely do a total and ML/PL play on here as the NHL playoffs are so unpredictable) with Edmonton being shut out. Shoot, if you had told me the Oilers were going to score six times in Game 1 and the Avalanche were going to score "only" four in Game 2, I would have taken those numbers in a heartbeat ahead of time and assumedly cash both puckline bets. Alas, no. Thursday was not the first time the Oilers were blanked in these playoffs as high-powered as they are: They also lost 4-0 in Round 1 at Los Angeles but scored four the next game at home (yet lost). Is Colorado the better team? Sure, but I don't see Edmonton getting swept and having the last line change will help big time at home. The Oilers actually have been dominating the face-off circle in the series. It will be a crazy crowd, nothing like an American crowd for a hockey game, and Edmonton thoroughly outplayed a very good Calgary team in the final two at Rogers Place in the last round. I really want this to be a competitive series ... the home team is 7-1 in the past eight overall between the clubs.

MINNESOTA @ TORONTO | 06/04 | 3:07 PM EDT
TORONTO -160
ANALYSIS: Gonna try to take Saturday largely off so will pre-pick this one. The Twins surprised the Jays 9-3 in the opener on Friday as huge dogs. Saturday Jays starter Jose Berrios, a former Twin, has been uneven this year but is 2-0 with a 3.15 ERA at home. Mr. Inconsistent Dylan Bundy (Dylan Bundy Day!) is on the mound for the Twins. So, a no-hitter through 6 or 6 ER in the first inning. He has a 7.50 road ERA. Twins third baseman Gio Urshela had to leave Friday's game with an injury. I just don't see Toronto losing back-to-back at home to this team.

CHI. WHITE SOX @ TAMPA BAY | 06/04 | 4:10 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -120
ANALYSIS: These teams are heading in opposite directions. The Rays have won three in a row and beat the White Sox 6-3 on Friday night. Meanwhile Chicago has lost four in a row and six of seven. The White Sox have given up 27 total runs over their last four games. My model says Tampa Bay wins about two-thirds of the time, so you're getting strong value at this number. I'm on the Rays.

Perez Lopez has been one of the only bright spots for Miami this year. The Marlins hit the ball better at home, during day games, and against right-handed pitching. The even-money line is an excellent spot to play Miami. I believe Lopez has the pitching edge. Take the Marlins.

WASHINGTON @ CINCINNATI | 06/04 | 4:10 PM EDT
CINCINNATI -125
ANALYSIS: You know, I'm never going to post my daily records on Twitter. Either you follow or don't. Gets so old seeing how everyone is 14-2 in their past 16. Hey, I hope that's right. Let's all beat the books. But I have been on a decent MLB roll. You can look up for yourself. Or don't. And a few have asked me my strategy: I bet to risk not to win. (If you are new, look up the difference). I'm competitive. I like to win, even if less $$. Anyways ... Reds pitcher Tyler Mahle has ugly overall numbers but has allowed 2ER or fewer in four of his past five. The Nats are just bad. That's my hard-hitting analysis (ever have one of those words you just can't spell right the first time? Analysis knocks me out of the Spelling Bee 100 percent of the time). Last play today. Cheers.

SAN FRANCISCO @ MIAMI | 06/04 | 4:10 PM EDT
SAN FRANCISCO -110
ANALYSIS: It’s Logan Webb day, and he is cheap. The Giants have won eight of his 10 starts, including the past two. Miami’s Pablo Lopez started the season with four consecutive wins, but the club has gone 1-5 behind him since, even though he has pitched well. The bottom line is, the Marlins don’t hit for him. They scored one run over his last two starts. Webb won’t make it easy. Giants to win.

COLORADO @ EDMONTON | 06/04 | 8:00 PM EDT
EDMONTON 115
ANALYSIS: This is a must win game for the Oilers so I am fine with taking them at home at plus money. They haven’t looked great, but they are a different team at home. The Oilers goalies should also be settled by traveling home as well. The Avs are the much better team, but the Oilers should have the desperation tonight. I like the Oilers at home.

CHI. WHITE SOX @ TAMPA BAY | 06/04 | 4:10 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -125
ANALYSIS: Drew Rasmussen is actually coming off probably his worst outing of his career, but that was against the Rangers when their bats were red hot. The White Sox were shut down by Shane McClanahan last night and they should continue to struggle against the righty today. Dylan Cease is coming off a very good start, but he did walk four batters and he has been very inconsistent lately. He also has multiple walks in all but one of his outings this season. The Rays are still without Wander Franco and they lose their best reliever to the IL too in JP Feyereisen, but being the Rays, they have a couple other dominant relievers who have closed before. I like the Rays at home.

MINNESOTA @ TORONTO | 06/04 | 3:07 PM EDT
TORONTO -170
ANALYSIS: The Blue Jays lost for the first time in nine games yesterday and it was really the Twins bullpen that shut them down. However, the Twins bullpen is missing three key pieces so they don’t have nearly as much depth after the win yesterday. Dylan Bundy struggles with walks and home runs and that is exactly how the Blue Jays can beat you. Jose Berrios is coming off a tough start but he is still one of the most profitable starting pitchers in the league this season. He is also facing his old team, so he could have been looking ahead. The Twins are still without Carlos Correa and Max Kepler didn’t make the trip to Toronto. Take the Blue Jays at home.

HOUSTON @ KANSAS CITY | 06/04 | 4:10 PM EDT
HOUSTON -180
ANALYSIS: The Royals were worked in their game last night and they had their best starting pitcher on the mound. They will call on Kris Bubic to make this start against Luis Garcia. Bubic has seriously struggled this season and even if he does pitch well, he won’t make it deep. The Royals have one of the worst bullpens in the league behind him. Alex Bregman will be back in the lineup although if I were Dusty I would probably give another one of my big bats the day off today. Still shouldn’t matter, I like the Astros to stay hot.

L.A. ANGELS @ PHILADELPHIA | 06/04 | 7:15 PM EDT
PHILADELPHIA -185
ANALYSIS: We have to keep fading the Angels right now as long as the line is under -200. Zack Wheeler was just named NL Pitcher of the Month so he has been dominant lately. The Angels have scored just one run in each of their last four games, I highly doubt they break out of their slump against one of the best pitchers in the league right now. Taylor Ward left yesterday's game early with an injury and should be out today.
