ANALYSIS: My model says the Cardinals win in almost 70 percent of the simulations, so you're getting excellent value with them at this number. St. Louis RHP Adam Wainwright struggled in his first start after the All-Star break but bounced back by limiting the Chicago Cubs to one run over seven innings last Wednesday. The veteran won both of his previous career turns against Cleveland, tossing a complete game last season while yielding two runs in seven frames on June 9. Expect another strong effort from Wainwright and take the Cardinals.

ANALYSIS: Cal Quantrill (2-2, 3.84 ERA) will look to continue his strong pitching when he takes the mound on Tuesday. Quantrill owns a 2-0 record with a 3.22 ERA in four starts in July after allowing one run on four hits in six innings of a no-decision versus Tampa Bay on Thursday. Adam Wainwright has an 5.35 ERA on the road this season. The Cardinals are 2-5 against the AL and 5-10 when playing after a day off this season. Take the home team.

ANALYSIS: Not sure I've ever backed a team as a betting favorite on a 12-game losing streak, but there's a first for everything. To be fair to Texas, the past 10 of those losses have been on the road (they have led for one half-inning in that span) and the team has been pretty competitive this year at home. Pitcher Dane Dunning is 3-2 with a 2.54 ERA at home and has a 2.89 ERA in his past four starts overall, three of them won by the Rangers. Only the Rockies have fewer road wins than the Diamondbacks, who are 0-7 this year vs. the American League.
