MILWAUKEE @ PHOENIX | 07/08 | 9:00 PM EDT
PHOENIX -5.5
ANALYSIS: Going to run it back with the Suns. They've now covered the past four meetings with Milwaukee, and they're an amazing 35-16 ATS in their last 51 home games. Consider that the Bucks outshot the Suns from the 3-point line (44.4 percent to 32.4 percent) and still lost Game 1 by double digits. Beyond the brilliance of Chris Paul and Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton (22 points, 19 rebounds) is the X-factor Milwaukee has no answer for. Lay the points.3

COLORADO @ ARIZONA | 07/08 | 3:40 PM EDT
OVER 9.5
ANALYSIS: This opened with a fairly high total of 9.5 runs, but nearly 70 percent of my model simulations lean Over that number with the average final score totaling around 11.7 runs. Both projected starting pitchers have ERAs of at least 5.25 on the season. The Over is 13-6 in the Diamondbacks' past 19 home games vs. a team with a losing record.

L.A. DODGERS @ MIAMI | 07/08 | 12:10 PM EDT
MIAMI +1.5
ANALYSIS: These teams finish their series with a very quick turnaround from Wednesday night, and it should be a good pitchers' duel between the Dodgers' Julio Urias and the Marlins' Sandy Alcantara. My model actually does lean Over the 7.5 runs, however. But the Grade A pick is Miami +1.5 at -130 as it covers in 66 percent of simulations.

L.A. DODGERS @ MIAMI | 07/08 | 12:10 PM EDT
MIAMI +1.5
ANALYSIS: The Dodgers have burned me twice already this week -- despite being tied in the ninth inning of both losses -- so I'm not about to pick them to win outright again. They are sitting Justin Turner and AJ Pollock today as they try to avoid the four-game sweep. Julio Urias (10-3, 3.81) is certainly good enough to beat the Marlins, but they start the very good Sandy Alcantara (5-7, 2.96). He has been a bit better at home and great (1.51 ERA) in day games. Marlins at -125 on the runline is the play.

L.A. DODGERS @ MIAMI | 07/08 | 12:10 PM EDT
MIAMI +143
ANALYSIS: The Dodgers have lost the first three games of this series and they have looked very beatable while doing it. They came into this series on a nine game winning streak but the last three games have been close and their defense and bullpen has let them down. Justin Turner is getting the day off for the Dodgers while the Marlins have their normal lineup starting. Sandy Alcantara is much better at home. The Dodgers are streaky and they head home after the game, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Marlins get the sweep.

DETROIT @ MINNESOTA | 07/08 | 8:10 PM EDT
DETROIT +115
ANALYSIS: Tarik Skubal struggled in his last outing but before that he hadn’t allowed more than three runs in a start in his last eight starts. He only allowed two runs in five innings in his only start against the Twins this season. JA Happ has been much better at home this season but he has allowed 11 home runs in his last six starts and home runs in seven straight starts. The Tigers are hitting right now and they have sneakily won seven of their last 10 games while the Twins have lost seven of their last 10 games. The Tigers are bottom 5 and the Twins are top 10 if you look at wOBA against lefties, but if you look at just the last 3 weeks, the Tigers actually have the fifth best wOBA in the league against lefties while the Twins are ranked 20th.

PITTSBURGH @ N.Y. METS | 07/08 | 7:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -190
ANALYSIS: Taijuan Walker has been one of the best pitchers in the NL and should be an All Star. He is 4-0 with a 1.52 ERA at home. He has only allowed more than two earned runs in three of his starts this season and hasn’t allowed more than four. The Pirates just won two of three games against the Braves giving us value tonight, but they have also lost seven of 10 games. The Mets are 26-12 at home while the Pirates are 13-29 on the road.

Greg Shaker
PLAY: CINCINNATI REDS
RATING: TRIPLE DIME PLAY

The Reds are heating up and no better time than now as they face division rival Milwaukee in an effort to cut into the Brewers lead in this division. They are in a VERY good spot to do so for a lot of reasons. We can start with Tyler Mahle who's last was over this Brewers team and it was a big effort. Mahle who matched his most career K's in a game (12) and tied his mark which also was against the Brew Crew. He has certainly LOVED pitching away from his home park which is a hitter's venue. He's 5-1 on the Road with a very solid 1.84 ERA and great numbers across the board. Howser's last 2 of three have not been so good and lately he has been putting a lot of people on base via the BB. What makes this matchup tonight more inviting is the fact that Cincy made the short trip from KC after a day game yesterday while Milwaukee flew in from New York after a grueling Double Header with the Mets. They are a bit overworked in the Pen because of that and most likely not in the best mental and physical shape either as they come home from a long road trip. The Reds have won 6 of their last 7 and in the process are getting great work from their Pen and frankly does doing a lot of things right including scoring verses RHP. This is a key series for Cincy trailing the Brewers by 6 games in the central division and they have been waiting for this series a good while. Simply a great situation with the Right Guy on the Hill to get the job done. Play 3*Reds at your best number.

Phoenix.
Game 504.
6:05 pm pst.

Phoenix won and covered Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Suns are better coached, better rested, have more depth, and are simply just a better team. The Bucks are 3-7 ATS L10 as a road underdog. The Suns are 9-3 ATS L12 as a home favorite. Take Phoenix. Thank you.
