ANALYSIS: Seems like good value on the Royals at home as they ended a nine-game skid with Friday's victory over Minnesota -- which is eight games under .500 away (KC .500 at home). Royals starter Danny Duffy (4-3, 2.44) wasn't great last time out but that was in a wind tunnel in Boston. He has a 2.04 home ERA and held the Twins to a run over seven on May 1. Minnesota rookie Griffin Jax (1-0, 7.82) is essentially an opener. A couple of Twins regulars are getting today off.

ANALYSIS: Well it's the holiday weekend and while I certainly will be making picks through it, also am not sitting at a computer all day. Thus will go with what I know currently ... I think Trae Young plays. Believe the Hawks held him back in Game 5 knowing they had a home game in the bag and couldn't be eliminated. Giannis isn't playing. There's no freaking way Brook Lopez resembles Shaq again, and Milwaukee is so thin down to essentially seven guys minus the two-time MVP. I almost think the Bucks mail this in as there are reports the Freak could play Game 7. The home team has come out red hot in the past two games and never looked back. It happens again.

ANALYSIS: The Padres took a loss yesterday, but I expect them to bounce back this afternoon behind Yu Darvish. But the main reason I don’t mind laying this price is because of Zach Eflin. The Phillies are 5-10 when he starts and have lost his last three. Even if he somehow shuts down the Padres lineup, the awful Phillies bullpen has to show up sometime. Padres to win.
