ANALYSIS: I'm surprised oddsmakers are opening this total at 5.5 goals. The first two Habs-Knights games opened at 5.5 only to close at 5.0 -- and we won both times on Under 5.5 as both games finished right on five goals. Were we lucky that an empty-net goal wasn't scored in each game? Absolutely, but a win is a win, and we will hit the Under again for Game 3 (before it almost surely drops to 5.0 again) as the series shifts to Montreal on Friday. The Under is 4-1 in Vegas' past five on the road.

ANALYSIS: I was upset at myself staying off the Canadiens Game 2 win after taking them on the money line in Game 1. However, the Canadiens are a much better team than people give them credit for and Carey Price can steal a game at any time. The Canadiens were worse at home in the regular season but the Golden Knights were worse on the road. The Canadiens have held the Knights to 0 for 6 on their power play so far this series, I like the Canadiens at plus money at home.

ANALYSIS: Luis Garcia struggled in his last start but he had won five straight decisions before that. He is also much better at home going 3-2 with a 2.10 ERA. Carlos Rodon has been exceptional this season but he hasn’t faced a lefty hitting lineup quite like the Astros yet this season. The Astros have the second best wOBA in the league against lefties and they have won four straight games. They are 23-13 at home this season while the White Sox are just 16-14. I like the Astros to get this game at home.

ANALYSIS: The Athletics are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now having won their last six games straight and eight of 10. The Yankees have been doing this thing for a while now where they play a good series and then follow it up with a stinker. Jameson Taillon is 1-4 with a 5.74 ERA this season and he only recorded one out in his last start. James Kaprielian has a 2.51 ERA this season in his first six career starts. Most notably, he has kept right handed batters to a .131 batting average and the Yankees lineup is all righties. I like the value in the As to take Game 1.

ANALYSIS: Johnny Cueto has been very hit or miss this season but he has been much better at home going 3-2 with a 3.14 ERA in five starts. Vince Velasquez has also been very up and down this season but he has allowed 11 runs in 12 IP in his last three starts. The Giants bats are on fire right now and I think the Giants will want to back their manager in Gabe Kapler against his former team in the Phillies tonight. The Phillies are 12-21 on the road this season while the Giants are 22-9 at home. Bryce Harper is expected to be back in the lineup tonight but I doubt he is 100%. The Phillies hottest hitter in JEan Segura is still out. Take the Giants.

But with their backs against the wall, look for the 76ers to regroup and keep their defensive intensity up for four quarters. Even in the loss, Joel Embiid had a big game with 37 points. The 76ers are 8-0 ATS as a favorite off a home loss win which Embiid had at least 30 points.

ANALYSIS: The Rays are on a three-game skid as their usually terrific bullpen allowed two runs in the bottom of the ninth in Thursday's 6-5 loss in Seattle. The Mariners aren't great overall but pretty good at home with 20-15 record. They also have the better pitcher in this one, so I'm happy to take the runline as I'm not sure Seattle shouldn't be favored on the moneyline. That pitcher would be lefty Yusei Kikuchi (3-3, 3.67). He has allowed three ER or fewer in eight straight starts and gone at least six in each except for one he left early after being hit on the knee. Tampa's Michael Wacha (1-1, 4.54) is filling in for injured Cy Young contender Tyler Glasnow and likely won't pitch more than a few innings. Seattle is 8-3 in its past 11 as a home dog.

He was roughed up for 4 runs in just 4.1 innings last time out against the Angels. Trevor Bauer started the season out in phenomenal fashion and has since come back down to earth. This is the perfect opponent for him to get back to his dominant self against. LA has suffered some injuries, but won’t have much trouble cashing a run line ticket against this putrid Arizona club. Take the Dodgers.

ANALYSIS: I'm still in shock over that Game 5 epic Sixers choke job even though I was on Atlanta +7. If Philly loses this game, don't be surprised if it's the last for Ben Simmons (see news feed) in a Philly uniform. He is a true offensive liability right now. That said, the Sixers have led each of the past three games by at least 18 points yet are 1-2 in them. Tobias Harris will not score just four points again as he did in Game 5. Hey, even Simmons will get at least 10 (his O/U is 13.5). Lou Williams won't go nuclear again for Atlanta. Bring on Game 7!

ANALYSIS: The Cubs have been absolutely dominant at home since the start of May and tonight's starting pitcher also has been dominant in recent weeks. That would be Zach Davies (4-3, 4.01). He hasn't allowed a run in his past 12.2 innings and has a 1.86 ERA over his last nine starts since May 1, the seventh-lowest ERA in the majors in that span. The Marlins have been horrible on the road since late May and are 1-7 in their last 8 road games vs. a right-handed starter.

ANALYSIS: In his past six outings, Braves lefty Max Fried has five quality starts and he has been quite a bit better overall at home this year than away. He was good last time out but hasn't been most of the year and is 1-5 with a 5.73 ERA away and 1-4 with a 6.75 ERA at night. Freddie Freeman is a career .500 hitter off him and Ronald Acuna Jr. 2-for-2.

ANALYSIS: Was probably going to pass on this game, but the Orioles just announced that starting pitcher Bruce Zimmermann, who had been pretty solid of late, was scratched due to injury. Tom Eshelman has been called up from Triple-A to take his spot. He has a 5.22 ERA over 22 appearances -- eight starts -- in the Show. The Jays go with lefty Robbie Ray (4-2, 3.45). Ray has been dominant over his past three starts, posting a 2.45 ERA with 32 strikeouts over 18 1/3 innings. Tempting to take the runline on Toronto but ... we'll stick with a big ML price in case it's only a one-run Jays victory.

ANALYSIS: The Canadiens will be without interim head coach Dominique Ducharme after he tested positive for COVID. Look, I didn't play hockey past high school, but a head coach is pretty darn important in the NHL, especially at home when teams have the last line change. Vegas probably will be without center Chandler Stephenson again but should have winger Tomas Nosek back from injury. The Knights don't really have to worry about the crowd with a 3,500-fan limit in Montreal. Vegas is 11-5 in its past 16 on the road. I'm already on the Under 5.5 goals (since dropped to 5.0) for this one so it could be a great or lousy night.
