GAME: (571) Milwaukee Bucks at (572) Brooklyn NetsDate/Time: Jun 15 2021 8:30 PM EDTBetting Line Provider: Consensus LinePlay Rating: 3 unitsPlay: Milwaukee Bucks -4.5 (-110)We’ve seen a dramatic change for a variety of reasons in the Bucks-Nets series, as Milwaukee has won the last 2 games to even the series at 2 game apiece. The Nets now have an uphill battle with both James Harden and Kyrie Irving out Tuesday. Khris Middleton has been the difference maker for the Bucks, completely turning around his production by scoring 54 points in the past 2 games. With Brooklyn losing key pieces and Milwaukee finally clicking, look for the Bucks to take the series lead Tuesday. Take the Bucks. Line Parameter: 3 units at -4.5 or lower, 2 units at -5 or higher

GAME: (923) Tampa Bay Rays at (924) Chicago White SoxDate/Time: Jun 15 2021 8:10 PM EDTBetting Line Provider: Consensus LinePlay Rating: 4 unitsPlay: Chicago White Sox -112 S Mcclanahan (LHP), D Keuchel (LHP) Must StartTwo hot teams will take the field Tuesday as the White Sox continue their series at home against Tampa Bay. Chicago has won 8 of 11 and they’ve done a great job of putting runs on the board as of late. The White Sox put up 15 runs on Saturday and have scored at least 5 runs in 4 of their last 5 wins. Dallas Keuchel takes the mound in good “current form.” He’s allowed a total of 3 earned runs in his last 2 starts, going 6 innings in both. Shane McClanahan is a guy the White Sox can really rough up. McClanahan hasn’t lasted more than 3.1 innings in either of his last 2 starts, giving up 7 earned runs combined. It’s not often that we get such a good price on Chicago, so let’s take advantage. Take the White Sox. Line Parameter: 4 units at -120 or less, 3 units at higher than -120

L.A. ANGELS @ OAKLAND | 06/15 | 9:40 PM EDT
OAKLAND -125
ANALYSIS: Already down Mike Trout, it looks like the Halos will again be without Anthony Rendon for a while as he was injured in Monday's 8-5 loss in Oakland. Rendon is starting to look like yet another massive contract mistake for the Angels (i.e. Albert Pujols). That depleted lineup faces Oakland's Frankie Montas (6-6, 4.37 ERA), who has a 3.18 ERA over his past six. He also has a 3.02 ERA in 10 career outings vs. L.A., which starts lefty Andrew Heaney (4-3, 4.37). He has been good of late, but Oakland is 16-9 vs. southpaws in 2021.

SEATTLE +1.5
ANALYSIS: We won on the Mariners on the runline in Monday's opener vs. the Twins and will go right back to them here considering Minnesota is starting lefty JA Happ (3-2, 5.75). He began the season great with a 1.96 ERA in April but had an 8.49 ERA in May and that number is 8.10 in June. Seattle is a solid team at home (6-2 past eight there) and goes with Chris Flexen (5-3, 4.68), who has gone at least six innings his past three with a 3.79 ERA. He has a 2.67 ERA in Seattle home this year.

ANALYSIS: As expected, both Kyrie Irving and James Harden are going to miss Game 5 for Brooklyn, and as good as Kevin Durant is, I can't see how he can win this game essentially by himself. The Nets are 0-4 ATS in their past four as an underdog.

TAMPA BAY -180
ANALYSIS: Lost on the Bolts at this price in Game 1 with Tampa coach Jon Cooper saying his players minds "weren't there." They did have seven giveaways, which is unusual. The Lightning have not lost back-to-back playoff games this year or back-to-back home games once all season. I expect a much more spirited effort in Game 2. Also still like Tampa in the series although it may take seven games now.

CHI. CUBS @ N.Y. METS | 06/15 | 7:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -140
ANALYSIS: The Mets are 10-1 in their past 11 as home favorites and appear to have the clear starting pitching edge here in Taijuan Walker (5-2, 2.07) over Cubs journeyman Alec Mills (2-0, 6.08). Walker has a 1.32 ERA over his past six outings and his 0.30 HR/9 rate in 2021 is the best in the majors. This will be Mills' 14th appearance of the year but just second start so he probably won't be out there long. The Cubs are 5-12 in their past 17 as road dogs.

PITTSBURGH @ WASHINGTON | 06/15 | 7:05 PM EDT
WASHINGTON -160
ANALYSIS: Essentially, you should be fading the likes of the Pirates, Diamondbacks, Rockies and Rangers whenever they are on the road and the price isn't ridiculous. This price isn't. We bet against the Bucs in Monday's opener in D.C. and Pittsburgh dropped its eighth in a row. They start lefty Tyler Anderson (3-6, 4.52) tonight, and he's OK, but the team doesn't score for him -- Anderson's 2.79 run support average is the lowest in all of MLB among qualifying pitchers. Washington lefty Patrick Corbin (3-5, 6.21) is 2-2 with a 3.53 ERA over eight career starts against the Pirates. Pittsburgh has just four wins this year vs. lefties.

CHI. CUBS @ N.Y. METS | 06/15 | 7:10 PM EDT

TAMPA BAY @ CHI. WHITE SOX | 06/15 | 8:10 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY +101
ANALYSIS: The Tampa Bay Rays' success on the road has correlated to an MLB-best 43-24 record. On Tuesday, they are a small underdog based on Shane McClanahan’s 9.95 ERA in the month of June. Yet, look for the Rays to provide strong run support for McClanahan, which should settle him down. In a battle of a veteran pitcher against a first-year starter, grab Tampa Bay.

CHI. CUBS @ N.Y. METS | 06/15 | 7:10 PM EDT
CHI. CUBS +135
ANALYSIS: Taijuan Walker has been one of the top offseason additions based on performance for the 2021 season. Over his last four home starts, he has allowed just one run in 19innings. The Chicago Cubs should be able to change that as they gave Walker his worst outing of the season at home on April 20. Issues with his command led to six walks and an early exit after 3.2 innings. Back the underdog Cubs.

MILWAUKEE @ BROOKLYN | 06/15 | 8:30 PM EDT
MILWAUKEE -4
ANALYSIS: There’s a chance James Harden could play, but expect the Bucks' defensive strategy to continue to grow. In Games 3 and 4, the Bucks limited the Nets to an average of 89.5 points. With the burden squarely on Kevin Durant’s shoulders, look for the Bucks' confidence to play team basketball to flourish.

MILWAUKEE @ BROOKLYN | 06/15 | 8:30 PM EDT
UNDER 218.5
ANALYSIS: The Bucks are 0-6 OU (-21.67 ppg) in the playoffs after a game in which Giannis Antetokounmpo was their high scorer. This trend was active twice this series and the Bucks scored 86 points in each game The Nets are 0-20 OU as an underdog with rest when they are off a loss in which they committed fewer than 12 fouls and they are facing an opponent that is drawing less than 20 fouls per game. We make the play the Under.

L.A. ANGELS @ OAKLAND | 06/15 | 9:40 PM EDT
OAKLAND -125
ANALYSIS: The Athletics are 6-0 this season as favorites in the second game of a series when they won the opener by multiple runs, winning every contest by multiple runs. The Angels are 0-14 as underdogs following a road game in which they had at least 12 hits and it is not a series opener.

CHI. CUBS @ N.Y. METS | 06/15 | 7:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -145
ANALYSIS: The Mets are 8-0 after a game as favorites in which they had more strikeouts than hits. The Cubs are 0-17 as underdogs against a right-hander when they won the last three times they faced a righty and it is before the All-Star break and not a series opener.

BALTIMORE @ CLEVELAND | 06/15 | 7:10 PM EDT
CLEVELAND -172
ANALYSIS: The Indians are 13-0 as 130-plus favorites after Jose Ramirez recorded multiple RBIs. The Orioles are 0-15 as 120-plus road underdogs after they had six or fewer hits and it is before the All-Star break.

TAMPA BAY @ CHI. WHITE SOX | 06/15 | 8:10 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY +101
ANALYSIS: The Rays are 22-0 in the second game of a series when their line is within 20 cents of pick'em after they scored in more innings than their opponent. The White Sox are 0-8 in the second game of a home series when their line is within 20 cents of pick'em following a game in which they left fewer than 10 runners on base.

TAMPA BAY @ CHI. WHITE SOX | 06/15 | 8:10 PM EDT
CHI. WHITE SOX -111
ANALYSIS: These division leading teams played a tough game last night, but now we have a battle of southpaws in Shane McClanahan and Dallas Keuchel. McClanahan has struggled recently allowing seven earned runs in his last 6.1 IP, and the White Sox have the best wOBA in the league against lefties. The Rays are ranked just 23rd in the league in wOBA against lefties. Keuchel is coming off a season-high in strikeouts and he has won four of his last six starts. The Rays are 24-10 on the road this season, but the White Sox are 25-12 at home, I think the White Sox force a rubber game at home.

CHI. CUBS @ N.Y. METS | 06/15 | 7:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -145
ANALYSIS: Taijuan Walker has allowed just four earned runs in 17 IP since returning from the IL and he has had walking problems although they have been kept in check lately. He is 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA in five home starts this season. Alec Mills will be making his second start of the season and he has allowed runs in five straight outings despite being used as a reliever in all those outings. The Cubs are 14-18 on the road this season while the Mets are 18-6 at home.

N.Y. YANKEES @ TORONTO | 06/15 | 7:07 PM EDT
TORONTO -121
ANALYSIS: The Blue Jays return home (Buffalo) after a blistering road trip with a couple heartbreaking losses. They have their ace in Hyun-Jin Ryu on the mound who allowed only one run in 6.2 IP against the Yankees earlier this season. He is coming offa six inning performance only allowing three runs against the lefty crushing White Sox. Jordan Montgomery allowed three runs in 4.2 IP against the Blue Jays earlier this season, although he has been one of the Yankees best pitchers. The Blue Jays have the 10th best wOBA against lefties this season while the Yankees are ranked 19th. The Yankees have lost three in a row and seven of their last 10 games.

N.Y. ISLANDERS @ TAMPA BAY | 06/15 | 8:00 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -180
ANALYSIS: I thought the Islanders would come out with a strong first game and they did, outplaying the Lightning in just about every aspect of the game. However, the Islanders weren’t very good on the road in the regular season while the Lightning and Andrei Vasilevskiy was one of the best in the league. The Lightning got to see the Islanders for the first time this season in their first game and I think they will have much more success in Game 2. I think this line will only go up as we get closer to game time so take the Lightning at home to even the series.

BALTIMORE @ CLEVELAND | 06/15 | 7:10 PM EDT
CLEVELAND -1.5
ANALYSIS: The Orioles have lost 16 straight road games and tonight they're starting Matt Harvey, who has a 14.19 ERA over his last six starts. Current Indians are collectively batting .494 versus Harvey, with a 1.284 OPS. Play the Indians -1.5 runs at +110.

4% NBA Best Bet

Nets-Bucks over 217.5

4-UNIT Best Bet on the OVER

Kevin Durant will be the only one of the three superstars on the court tonight in Game-5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Initially, it looks bleak for the Nets to remain competitive against the Bucks, but upon further review, the data of past games paints a different story.

Kevin Durant has played five games without Irving and Harden this season. The Nets are 4-1 SUATS and 4-1 OVER in these five games. The five games are grouped with the first three occurring in consecutive order on January 10 vs the OKC Thunder, January 12 vs the Denver Nuggets, and January 13 vs the New York Knicks. The last pair of games occurred April 13 vs the Minnesota Timberwolves and then April 29 vs the Indiana Pacers. Ironically, the only loss occurred in the first game against the lowly Thunder in a 129-116 home loss installed as 7.5-point favorites.

Durant has risen to the challenge in these situations scoring an average of 34 PPG on 63% field goal shooting, made 53% of his 3-point shot attempts, and an incredible +73 in his plus-minus rating. He also averaged 7.4 assist-per-game and 6.0 rebounds per game. These terrific stats also reflect that he engaged his teammates and got the other four players on the court involved with the game flow. That is the key for the Nets to have all the other four players moving without the ball in the half-court sets.

The only loss versus the total was at Minnesota. The total line was 231.5 points and the Nets did their part scoring 127 points, but Minnesota shot poorly scoring 97 points, despite having many open looks at the rim.

The current line and total (Bucks -4.5 and 217.5 points) imply a 111-106.5 Milwaukee win. In each of the previous five games in which Durant played without Harden and Irving, the Nets scored more than their implied team total. So, betting the Nets team total in these past situations went 5-0 and now we are getting a vast discount and market overreaction to the news. Last, the OVER went 3-0 in games that Durant played without the services of his Warrior teammates Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

Betting on teams with a game total of at least 210 points is coming off two consecutive road losses and are revenging a double-digit road loss has seen the OVER earn an outstanding 94-45 record good for 68% winning bets over the last five seasons. Milwaukee is 22-11-1 OVER for 67% winning bets when on a two or more-game win streak this season; 12-4 OVER when coming off a double-digit home win in games played this season.
