ANALYSIS: Isles coach Barry Trotz said he hasn't decided whether he will start Ilya Sorokin or Semyon Varlamov in Game 2 after Sorokin lost Game 1. He played great the last series vs. Pittsburgh, though, and Varlamov struggled so I'd expect Sorokin to get the call but perhaps have a short leash. I don't think it honestly matters. Boston is the better team and has just one loss in its past 12 at home.

Miley has allowed 9 earned runs in his last 2 starts. Meanwhile, Vince Velasquez enters Monday with a 2.95 ERA on the year. He’s coming off a string of fantastic starts. Velasquez didn’t allow a single run in his last start against the Marlins in 6 innings of work, and he’s only allowed more than 3 runs one time this season. Take the Phillies.

ANALYSIS: Very interesting that this moneyline has shifted toward Boston as the favorite -- doubt it stays there. As Larry Hartstein pointed out in backing Houston, Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez is 0-3 with a 7.80 ERA over his last three starts and 1-2 with a 6.75 lifetime ERA against Houston, which hits lefties well. Astros starter Jose Urquidy(3-2, 3.22) comes off the IL and had been great before going on that with a 3-0 record and 1.52 ERA in his last four starts. I'll happily take the Stros at +1.5 on the runline while I can.

Plus, the Halos lose the designated hitter, which means no Shohei Ohtani (second in majors with 15 HRs) other than pinch-hitting unless manager Joe Maddon shockingly plays him in the outfield or something -- which I highly doubt.

ANALYSIS: I would have taken Milwaukee on the runline here behind Corbin Burnes if the Brewers ever scored for him. Despite a 2.33 ERA and 74 strikeouts in just 46.1 innings with a scant five walks, he's 2-4 due to lack of run support. Still, I'm quite sure Milwaukee will at least win against the Tigers, who are using reliever Tyler Anderson as an opener.
