He's in the COVID protocols and not likely to play considering he hasn't even practiced the past two days. The Avs are healthy and have been nearly unbeatable at home for a while, going 16-0-1 in their last 17 at Ball Arena. The 17 straight home games with at least a point tied the club record set in 2003.

Backup Craig Anderson came on to make 21 saves and allow just a power-play goal. Apparently, Vanecek will not be ready to go here and co-No. 1 Ilya Samsonov was just activated off the COVID list and he's not ready, either. Thus, Anderson appears set to make his first playoff start since 2017, when he was with the Ottawa Senators. I don't trust him at all (clearly oddsmakers don't either since the B's are road favorites) so we will take Boston behind Tuukka Rask.
