New York outhit Oakland, 11-9 last night, but they were outscored 6-2 in the runs department as the Yanks dropped their second straight, while the A's made it a 5-1 run over their last 6 games.
Going to look for Happ to build off of his last start which saw him allow just 2 runs over 5 innings in a win over Baltimore last Wednesday.
Happ is now 2-1 over his last 3 starts, and owns a 3-1 mark for the year on the road. Happ is also 4-1 for his career against Oakland.
The A's will counter with Mike Fiers who happens to be unbeaten over his last 18 starts, and stands at 11-3 for the year. I would say that Fiers is about due for a loss, wouldn't you? His career ERA versus the Yankees is over 5, so look for New York to draw even with the win in Oakland here on Wednesday night.
