Mike Leake (8-8 4.27 ERA) of the Seattle Mariners makes his first start since his complete game shutout where he only allowed one hit (lost perfect game in the ninth). Leake's ERA and WHIP (1.23) are average numbers, but he has pitched some of his best games in the last few weeks. He has thrown two scoreless outings in his last three starts. In his last seven starts Leake has 35 strikeouts to just three walks. Mike Minor (8-5 2.86 ERA) of the Texas Rangers has pitched very well this season, although he has struggled of late. Minor has allowed 11 earned runs (five HRs) in his last three starts which totaled 16 1/3 innings. Both teams are 2-8 SU in their last 10 games and in a matchup like this it is best to ride the hot arm.
