I like the value here with Cleveland on the money line in Thursday's series opener against the Yankees. New York is one of the biggest public teams out there and the public simply can't resist betting the Yankees when Luis Severino is on the mound. It's hard to argue with them, given New York has won 17 of his 19 starts, but there's no reason the Yankees should be favored on the road against a team like Cleveland, who has their ace on the mound in Corey Kluber.
Kluber had a bit of a rough patch after an impressive start to the season, but comes in off 7 shutout innings in his last start and is sitting at 7-1 with a 1.43 ERA and 0.797 WHIP over 10 home starts. Kluber is also 5-2 with a 3.19 ERA and 0.941 WHIP in 9 career starts against the Yankees. In his last 4 regular-season starts against NY, Kluber has pitched at least 8 innings and has not allowed more than 2 runs.
It's also worth noting that the Indians are 62-27 over their last 89 home games and 41-18 in their last 59 at home vs a right-handed starter. They are also 11-3 in Kluber's last 14 starts against the AL East and 18-5 in his last 23 starts in a series opener. Take Cleveland!

I'll take my chances here with Cleveland as a home dog in the highly anticipated showdown that features the Indians Corey Kluber against the Yankees Luis Severino. This is simply too good a price to pass up on the Indians on their home field with Kluber on the mound. Kluber is 7-1 with a 1.43 ERA and 0.797 WHIP in 10 home starts this season and you know we are getting his very best against these Yankees. This is also game 8 of the Yankees massive 11-game road trip going into the break, while Cleveland is finishing up a 10-game homestand. Revenge is also a key factor here, as the the Yankees swept the first series between the two teams in New York and were the ones that eliminated the Indians from the postseason last year. Give me Cleveland +105!

Like the value the Brewers bring to PNC Park this Thursday evening, as they take on division-rival Pittsburgh.
Milwaukee has dropped 3 of their last 5, but Pittsburgh is just 3-6 over their last 9 games, so look for the division-leaders to step up their game tonight in the Steel City behind Wade Miley.
Miley returns from his second stint on the disabled list as he makes just his third start of the season. He is 2-2 for his career with a 3.79 ERA in his 7 starts against Pittsburgh.
Jameson Taillon has been pitching well of late, but I simply cannot overlook the fact he is 1-4 with a 3.70 ERA in his 8 career starts against the Brewers. That includes a loss and a no-decision this season.
Brewers to take the series opener on Thursday.

The Colorado Rockies ended a 9-game home losing streak to the Diamondbacks with an emphatic 19-2 victory yesterday. I look for them to take Game 3 and the series today as the Rockies inch closer to the first-place Diamondbacks in the NL West standings.
Kyle Freeland has been the best starter for the Rockies this season. He has gone 8-6 with a 3.18 ERA and 1.205 WHIP in 18 starts this season, including 5-2 with a 2.89 ERA and 1.168 WHIP in seven home starts, very impressive numbers at Coors Field.
Robbie Ray has battled injury this season and just hasn’t been himself for Arizona. He is 3-1 with a 5.23 ERA and 1.488 WHIP in nine starts this season. He has given up 10 earned runs, 18 base runners and 5 homers in 9 1/3 innings in his last two starts against the Padres and Cardinals.
Ray is also just 3-3 with a 5.74 ERA and 1.650 WHIP in 10 career starts against Colorado. He gave up 7 runs, 10 base runners and 3 homers in 5 innings in his lone start against the Rockies this season. The Rockies are 5-1 in Freeland’s last six home starts. Colorado is 6-0 in its last six games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30. Bet the Rockies Thursday.
